from director Ron Howard ( Rush , DaVinci Code and the producer of Changeling ) which DaVinci code was good movie also as the over rated Changeling was good as well . Anyway the movie stars tom hanks as a space astronaut which sounds good and is awesome for the Acamedy Award Winner as his performance was sort of out breaking also tempting , danger thrill in space but it was cool in 3d great directing from Ron Howard . My first of the Merchant Ivory works, and I was thoroughly impressed, though for all the fine craftsmanship, it seemed to be exactly like Howards End after its matriarch died--empty, barren and without any soul whatsoever. That's what stops me from giving it a 10. And mysteriously, I kept on half-expecting Sir Anthony to say 'Margaret' like he did 'Clarisse' in The Silence of the Lambs'... Full Review »

The horror scenes are really great , but I can't say the same about the script , they could've given us a natural exorcist film , like The Exorcist , but they went for the Supernatural . It started off like a police investigation film ,but then they made the bad guy *Spoiler Alert* talk to animals , break windows with his Evilness and walk around with a sliced up body . I was hoping they stick to the book with this one but , anyway , I did buy the book , I hope it has a better story . Full Review »

Avoid at all costs , it's a rip-off of *Spoiler Alert * Mystic River , but with bad acting and a silly budget . You know Nicholas Cage , a Hit or Miss actor , this one's a miss . Full Review »
  5. I didn't expect much going into THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU but man is this one bad movie. Solid cast are all working from different planets and totally undermined by direction from Shawn Levy that is more appropriate for an Adam Sandler film than a dramedy about a dysfunctional family that features Jane Fonda. The less said the better. Though I will say, Connie Britton does her damnedest to actually appear like a real human being. She has great hair too. Full Review »
