Ladies and gentleman, "Twin Peaks: The Return" is great television. It's cinematic and emotional. Every beat is poetic, elliptical, and deeply cryptic. It disturbs the molecules. It makes us see. Yes, it's slow-paced... but it's Michelangelo Antonioni slow. Just watch and let it breathe. It's quintessential David Lynch. I loved every second of it. But enjoy it, because after Lynch is done with this you'll never see it again. It's as rare as a white peacock. Thank you Showtime for having the guts to greenlight this seminal return. Ok, now on to 3 and 4. This is so much fun. Spectacular. Thrilling. Full Review »

Yet, with each passing season, I'm having an increasingly difficult time caring about the tragic ennui of these unremarkable characters and their pithy white people problems. For a show that takes itself this seriously, one hopes for a greater sense of urgency--higher stakes, even. Season three is no different. Perhaps I'm too demanding in where I want to direct my empathy, but these stories are only affecting if a person has never experienced legitimate trauma. Full Review »

Arrow is definitely back in form and has a strong momentum going to season 6 and i'm hoping it will be as good as season 5. Full Review »
  5. Maybe it's because I was expecting the worst after reading some of the 'professional' reviews, but this was pretty decent. Not great, butMaybe it's because I was expecting the worst after reading some of the 'professional' reviews, but this was pretty decent. Not great, but better than average.

I thought the main actor was a miss-cast. Most of the time his acting is ok, but at certain times when he was acting enraged or sad, it just felt off. It could also be due to the director's instructions, but it didn't look good. Which goes for the fight scenes as well, you could sometimes see an attacker go slowly in their offense to give time for the heroes to react to them. I know the fighting is fake, but I don't want to 'see' that it is.

Story wise I thought this first season was solid. I didn't get bored with the villains or the storyline, and thought most of the actors did a pretty good job portraying it.

It's obviously not as good as Daredevil, which no other Netflix Marvel series has been able to reach to be honest, but it certainly isn't as bad as Jessica Jones. So yeah, it's above average: a 7.
