14. Top Chef

Feb 15, 2006  •  Rated TV-14
What happens in Vegas … will be delicious. Top Chef travels westward for season six, stopping in Las Vegas to take advantage of the top restaurants and restaurateurs located throughout the city, and use its atmosphere and colorful locations to inspire some of the hardest challenges that the contestants have ever seen. Seventeen of the best new chefs from around the country will battle it out for the title of Top Chef, but Sin City will affect both the challenges and the prizes, upping the stakes considerably. Each QuickFire has a cash prize attached, contestants will gamble for items and immunity is drawn, not won. Padma Lakshmi continues as host, judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, and Toby Young return. This season's title includes a feature in Food & Wine magazine, $100,000 of merchandise provided by Macy's (new this season), the opportunity for the winner to showcase his or her skills at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado, and $125,000 to help turn the winner's culinary dreams into reality (increased this season from $100,000). A creation of Magical Elves Productions.
