A$AP Rocky
Long.Live.A$AP- While he previously issued the mixtape Live Love A$AP, New York rapper Rakim Mayers—better known as A$AP Rocky—finally releases his long-delayed official studio debut Long.Live.A$AP (you'll be forgiven for confusing the two titles) this week. Joining Rocky on the LP are Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Santigold, Big K.R.I.T., Florence Welch, Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, and more. Early reviews range from decent to great, while Stereogum suggests that the sound is reminiscent of 1990s trip-hop.

Yo La Tengo
Fade LISTEN (3voor12)- The Hoboken trio follow 2009's Popular Songs 79 with an atypically (for them) short album; there are no 10-minute-long tracks this time around. It also might be their mellowest album since 2003's Summer Sun. But that doesn't mean that it isn't good (early reviews are very positive); nor does it mean that it is lacking the stylistic diversity that's one of their hallmarks. After a short tour of record shops, the band will hit the road playing more conventional venues this winter and spring.
