Supermodel LISTEN (iTunes)
After rising to fame on the strength of their ubiquitous single "Pumped Up Kicks," L.A.'s Foster the People went on to receive two Grammy nominations for their 2011 debut album Torches. This week's follow-up is more "organic and human" and less electronic than the band's debut, according to frontman Mark Foster, who co-produced the new album with Paul Epworth. It is also intended as a concept album about pop culture and consumerism, but early reviews suggest this overly serious approach isn't doing the band any favors.
