When rival figure skaters Chazz Michael Michaels (Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Heder) go ballistic in an embarrassing, no-holds-barred fight at the World Championships, they are stripped of their gold medals and banned from the sport for life. Now, three-and-a-half years on, they've found a loophole that will allow them to compete: if they can put aside their differences, they can skate together -- in pairs' figure skating. First, let me say that I love this site and how it gives us the chance to express ourselves. Back on subject: I can't think of any reason why this movie does not deserve a 10. I mean, it was hilarious (even for the comedy-hating critics), what more do you want?

A good movie. Quite Funny. After Teladega Nights I wasn't sure how much I could expect from Will Farrell, but this was good.

I went into this movie with extremely low expectations, and was surprised to find myself cracking up through the whole thing. Of course it's stupid, of course it's immature. It's one of the silliest damn movies I've seen in a while, the funniest comedy this year other than Superbad, Knocked Up and Hot Fuzz.

Like so many Ferrell movies, it started out very funny for the first 10 or20 minutes, then slowly sank to boring predictability. It wanted to be a satire of skating/sports hype but wimped out into a strange kind of homoerotic buddy romance. Good for a few laughs, but don't bet your evening on it.
