It was predictable, with no real obstacles for the caracters. A bit boring, but still enjoyable.

Yes, this *is* your typical Hollywood film. It's got a typical structure and typical conflicts and typical turning points and a typical ending. It also happens to very well made and acted--and that's *not* typical.

It’s hard to say this is a comeback year for Meryl Streep, because she has never really gone away. But it is a year when she played two women who are polar opposites, and played each flawlessly. I loved her role in this film, which simultaneously idolized and satirized the fashion world. This is a great performance in a movie that was well-directed by David Frankel, who also directed episodes of “Sex and the City” and “Entourage” (Entourage star Adrian Grenier also has a role in this film).

Not bad. Corny and hokey at times, but I enjoyed watching it, and I generally don't like these movies (i.e. movies my wife wants to see after watching the trailer). But I can't say I hated it. Hathaway has the potential to be one of those actresses who is not smoking hot, but is attractive based on personality.
