Entertainment Weekly Owen Gleiberman
The movie is merciless sending up "Juno's" self-satisfied hipster gobbledygook, and it's quite funny to see Hannah Montana still promoting her tie-in products as she lies crushed and dying under a meteor.

The product's not 100% giggle-free: Several songs have amusing lyrics, especially parodies of "Juno" and "High School Musical."
Read Full Review >TV Guide Maitland McDonagh
Lazy, superficially au courant and utterly forgettable.

Why would you watch a bad movie about better movies, when you could just rent the originals instead?

Does little more than congratulate its audience on recognizing the source of its riffs. "High School Musical" -- ha ha ha!

Real disaster movies have more laughs than this spoof.

Seldom has a pic been more appropriately titled than Disaster Movie, yet another frantically unfunny free-form farce.

It's too easy to say Disaster Movie deserves its title, but why put more effort into trashing it than the filmmakers did into writing it?
Read Full Review >LA Weekly Jim Ridley
This carpet-fouling mongrel of a movie no more deserves release than do anthrax spores.

There's no nice way to say this, so I'll just say it: Writer/directors Friedberg and Seltzer are a scourge.

They deserve the damn gallows. That's all I can say.
Abbie B. gave it a0:
Damn, I predicted this would be s**t...me and a lot of other Youtubers...and we were right. I only needed to watch half of the movie via bootleg... wasted my time BUT saved money. Let's hope this is the last movie in the genre those noobs will make... But apparently, some ppl don't know when to quit, no matter how many times they are hit in the balls. And it could be a matter of time before Uwe Boll makes a parody movie....oh god.
Luke D. gave it a0:
Awful, painfully unfunny and unwatchable comedy that if you even laugh once at I think you need help.
Lance T gave it a0:
Horrible plot. satire, actors. just like all the rest of these types of movies, but this one would be running near the top for "Worst Movies of All Time", along with "Open Water".
Keenan S gave it a2:
Disaster Movie is easily one of the worst films I've seen in recent memory, and was awful enough to be in my top five worst films. Disaster Movie is nothing more than one crappy parody after another about whatever the hell was popular in 2008, or even 2007. Don't watch this film unless you contemplate suicide, which if you do, this film will be more than happy to encourage you. This film was absolutely excruciating, and was literally painful to watch to the point where not even my DVD player liked it. Stay far, far away from this piece of garbage.
Glen M gave it a1:
I have not seen any of these movies and you couldn't pay me to. But I have two comments. If it's as bad as everyone says criminals should be forced to watch it the same way as Alex is forced to watch the violence in Clockwork Orange. That'd keep them on the straight, the threat of having to endure it again. Secondly if you hated all their previous work why the **** did you go to this?!
Francisco M gave it a0:
This is not a movie... This is crap... Pure crap.
