One way or the other, there really is something to be said for a movie which seems to revel in its own inherent comic-book silliness.

Los Angeles Times David Chute

Dracula 2000 is at heart a solidly old-fashioned cloak-and-fangs vampire flick. It honors the central traditions of the form a lot more often than it skewers them.

LA Weekly Manohla Dargis

Although it's not half bad -- which doesn't mean it's half good -- this horror cheapie comes equipped with a few ideas, a little atmosphere and a couple of serviceable scares.

Austin Chronicle Marc Savlov

A middling film through and through, despite the occasional shocks it tries to earnestly to achieve.

Chicago Tribune Robert K. Elder

By making concessions for a possible sequel, Dracula 2000 wilts when compared in the light with other Dracula films.

Entertainment Weekly Owen Gleiberman

One of those desultory F/X and no script potboilers that seems to restart itself with every new scene.

In the end it's the same old blood pudding.

New York Daily News Elizabeth Weitzman

There's a lot of scary stuff in Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000. There are eyeball-sucking leeches, decapitations, punctured necks... and appalling acting.

Variety Joe Leydon

Overall, though, the slapdash pic appears to be the work of folks who made things up as they went along; you might say they were, well, vamping.

Chicago Reader Jonathan Rosenbaum

The gratuitous use of the city (New Orleans) during Mardi Gras is the least of this movie's unoriginal sins.

Dracula may stay undead in the new millennium, but there's not a sign of life - oh, that bloodless acting - in this sorry mess.

It's a little sad to see actors of the quality of Christopher Plummer and Jonny Lee Miller struggling straight- faced to dignify this sewage.

Danielle H. gave it an8:
I thought this film was bloody awesome.

Xandra N. gave it a 9:
I gave this movie a 9 becasue, i think that the actors are lovely but the ending sucks. In almost every movie Gerard was in he dies. PLus everyone says Vampires can't breathe, why did he die by getting strangeled? Gerard is the lovelyest (Not even a word, but there should be a picture of Gerard beside it in the dictionary!) Man on earth.

Vampiro JJ. gave it a 10:
This movie was great! The way the actors are dressed especialy Gerrad you could think he was a real vampire. The movie i think is much beter suited action than horror but it still is an amazing movie scary or not.

Mr E. gave it a 7:
This movie was OK. I refuse to call it good or bad. I loved the story and the idea for dracula, but for such a good story i would have felt a slower, longer movie would have better than the break neck speed this one moves in.

Shanna gave it a 10:
Gerrard played his role really great! you could almost think that that he was the real thing!

Becca B. gave it a 10:
I LOVED DRACULA 2000, the actors are wonderful and the script was well planned out!! It definatley makes you jump a couple of times!!! Wes Craven is always going to be the king of screams!! Patrick Lussier did a great job directing. Dracula 2000 was one of the best vampire films it looks at it from the biblical text.

B. J. gave it a 0:
As a fan of the horror genre I have to say this is one of the most pathetic and offensive attempts at exploiting one of the greatest and most intriguing characters in horror history. 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century seem to be marked by this kind of "Baywatch" horror movies which are made with the sole purpose of making money of gullible audience members such as myself who persist at watching this trash, hoping for a movie that could match some of the 70s or 80s classics.
