Ted M. gave it a10:
Saw this at the Quad in NYC. I didn't stop smiling for 80 minutes. It's funny, true. But the film's tremendous heart is what impressed me most. Given the budget restraints, this is a near masterpiece of DIY filmmaking. In the characters own parlance.
Charlie E. gave it a10:
I knew nothing about this movie until my parents drug me out of bed on a groggy sunday afternoon. I was pleasently surprised at how good this movie was and thought it was cool that it was filmed in so many areas in Portland that I recognized. I laughed over and over again.
Ramone B. gave it a9:
Film Geek is a damned good movie. It was a little more racy than I thought it would be (don't bring the young kids), but it was well worth the price of the ticket and worth seeing more than once. Scotty is a bit of a sad character who's adventures are unforgettable and engaging. Well worth checking out.
Marie A. gave it a10:
Film Geek is such a cool movie. I laughed, I cried and in the end I just wanted to go straight back to the theater and see it all over again. Definitely worth checking out wether your a film geek or you just love to see fun and touching movies.
Al B. gave it a10:
Very good movie. The direction, writing, and acting are all excellent. It's funny and sad at the same time. I actually cried.
Linda M. gave it a10:
I loved film Geek! It's a Napolean Dynamite for grown ups and with a twist. I've already seen it 3 times since it came out in Portland. I can't wait for it to be released on DVD!
