New York Post Lou Lumenick

This is a stunningly photographed 3-D IMAX documentary.

Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas

Imax 3-D is perfect for this kind of expedition. Nature movies tend to be very similar to one another, but the gorgeous and awesome Galapagos quite literally adds an exciting dimension to the experience.

The New York Times Dana Stevens

The narration, read by Kenneth Branagh, proclaims the wonder and variety of life, though it's a bit light on information, not quite rising to the level of a PBS nature documentary or an interactive display at the American Museum of Natural History.

Boston Globe Louise Kennedy

A few magnificent moments underwater can make it all seem worthwhile.

TV Guide Ken Fox

The 3D photography is put to dazzling use, particularly when it comes to schools of multi-colored fish darting across the screen. LA Weekly Annlee Ellingson

Galapagos succeeds where many large-format films don't, effectively combining education and entertainment.

[Anonymous] gave it a 7:
The scenery is stunning and the 3D effects are incredible. Having been to the Galapagos, I was disappointed that some of the most exciting animals were not covered, like the Galapagos penguins and the giant Galapagos tortoises.

Scott S. gave it a 10:
This is an exuberantly silly, devilishly stupid film where the humor is carefully and smartly concocted to seem dumber than it is. Just as being serious about one's comedy seems incongruous but is vitally important, using skill and intelligence to manufacture ridiculous plots and characters is also a fine art. This movie is all about making fun of the shallow side of American culture. Those who don't get it are either fools or they only swim in the shallow end of the brain pool.
