The New York Times Anita Gates

An amiable but highly didactic romantic drama.

New York Post V.A. Musetto

Earnest but not terribly original.

Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas

While clunky in pacing -- and in periodic attempts at humor -- Green Card Fever has been well-photographed by Scott Spears and makes some provocative points.

The Hollywood Reporter Kirk Honeycutt

The clumsy and cliched approach by writer-director Bala Rajashekaruni robs the movie of any dramatic punch.

Village Voice Ed Park

Though it's high time for a probing drama that illuminates the labyrinth of America's immigration system, those responsible for Green Card Fever should have their artistic licenses revoked.

Raju J. gave it a10:
Very culture specific yet universal. The intent of the filmmakers, and the team is very commendable. Better than Bollywood crap. Very original. Buy the original DVD. Sound is great on that. Must for immigrants. If you are a nit-picker, needs some improvements in tech. aspects though.

srinivas i. gave it a3:
Terrible writing and weak direction. Mostly pointless and rudderless meandering. Anemic crawl towards a feeble "climax." Not worth 80 minutes of your time.

Arvind M. gave it a10:
I say its the best and only those who r not immigrants dont understand the quality of the movie, its so true, those who r not immigrants better do not rate the movie as u dont understand its worth.

Kumar B. gave it a 10:
Amazingly funny - if you are an Indian immigrant in US. Many scenes haunt you for months and dialogues are superb!. Great acting by all. Most americans will get only 10% humor since situations were so cultural.

Josef M. gave it an 8:
A lot better than I thought it was going to be.

K. N. gave it a 10:
Excellent and haunts you for the weeks if you are an immigrant.

Robin W. gave it a 9:
A great movie. Very touching movie at the end. Well performed. Most of it is SOOO true.
