Variety Lael Loewenstein
Smarter and more appealing than many other recent romantic comedies.

The highpoint of the film, acting-wise, comes from Bernadette Peters.

Let It Snow is cheery, and it gets by on the energy of the actors, who may be as taken by the movie's guilelessness as audiences could be. The film's naïveté makes up for its rampant predictability.

Despite a subpar script and performances, this minor indie entry does possess a rather touching belief in its own charm.

A few funny bits float the film for a while -- it's always nice to see Peters onscreen, no matter what she's doing -- but it's really as showcase for Marcus, who also wrote the script.

In lieu of developing a plot, the brothers opt to cram their cache of forced quirks and hit-or-miss sketches into a framework of predictabilities.

James' character is a charmless, boring lump and it's very hard to care if he gets the girl or not.

Opens and closes on a jaunty note: It's the tedious, relentlessly talky 80 minutes in between that's the problem.

Tim B. gave it a 7:
I'm sorry, but I couldn't bring myself to dislike this movie. Yes, it's essentially "inert" and -- in places -- "inept" (to quote the Village Voice review), but it's cute regardless. To quote the Post, "James' [sic] character is a charmless, boring lump"; perhaps that's why I appreciated this one. I don't consider myself to be either charmless or boring, but I related with his character quickly and I suppose it's difficult to dislike a romantic comedy whose protagonist you feel any sort of association with. Inert, inept, indie, cheery, whatever... this is a movie that will leave you with a pleasant if vacant buzz if you'll accept the idea that romance and romanticism are separate concepts.
[Anonymous] gave it a 10:
You critics don't know what you're talking about.
Norm M. gave it a 9:
It was a good movie! You reviewers are heartless or something!
Brick T. gave it a 10:
I suppose I can imagine why lots of people didn't like this movie. I feel something in common with James that makes me say that I like it a lot. I guess it's not for everyone.
