Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas
The film's locales have an appealing authentic feel to them, and everything from decor to music contributes to making Looking for an Echo an appealing heart-tugger.

Well-meant but rambling little indie melodrama.
LA Weekly Hazel-Dawn Dumpert
Assante, restrained and thoughtful, reveals Vinnie's midlife bewilderment as much as his bred-in machismo. His performance is too delicate, though, to stand up to the rigidly formulaic schemes

The stream of sentimentality is endless and often sickly, and the warm afterglow is decidedly manufactured.

Corny, suds-drenched movie. The kindest way of looking at this roughly patched-together story is as the cinematic equivalent of the music it memorializes.

I loved all the great oldies music from th 50's & 60's. I want to see it again because I missed the beginning!
Al P. gave it a 9:
Having lived through and been part of the period and activities portrayed in the movie, I found it accurate, believable and very entertaining. The music is great. I bought the soundtrack! Well done.
Frederick L. gave it a 10:
"Gone from the charts, but not from our hearts" Watching this film was like being in a giant jukebox! - A Gem -
Dennis D. gave it a 9:
Finally some people that are not writing for a publication that caters to immature audiances who are only satisfied with speacial effects produced by 28 year old screen writters. A wonderful film bringing back lots of memories. Kudos Great Music and a Great Cast!
Ellen H. gave it a 10:
Sure its sappy, but I loved it. But then again Im still stuck in the 50's-60's era, and Im a fan of Joey Dee & the Starlighters! I give it a 10!
Kim gave it a 10:
This is an excellent movie! I loved every minute of it - the music, the acting, the story, everything, well, except for some of the language.
