Village Voice Kris Wilton

Aside from Laspalès's enlivening physical humor, Poiré's forced, formulaic comedy of errors has little to offer.

Fiona VFP gave it a10:
This is a big budget cinemascope action comedy with everything you want from a proper movie: international cast Alice Evans, Gotz Otto are both respected and good looking and very good actors. They're surrounded by a flock of French clowns all ugly and mean, and quite funny. Beautiful on location photography in Venice and Montmartre. I recommend it.
