Starring Colton Ford, and Blake Harper
At the age of 40, wildly successful gay adult film star Colton Ford decides to leave porn behind and to pursue his dream: music. New York Post Russell Scott Smith
This is ultimately a sunny movie full of likable characters.

The spare, enjoyable Naked Fame, by the documentarian Chris Long, suggests that today's pornography performers enjoy better life options than those revisited in "Inside Deep Throat."
Read Full Review >TV Guide Ken Fox
What makes the film more interesting than it might have been, however, is the warm relationship between Glenn and Peter.
Read Full Review >The Hollywood Reporter Frank Scheck
Sub-par video camerawork and editing make the film a trying and tedious experience, despite the engaging personality and impressive physicality of its star.
Read Full Review >Chicago Reader Andrea Gronvall
Scenes in which Ford meets with record-industry honchos and a manipulative producer suggest that the music business is almost as exploitative as the porn business.

It's interesting in the same way the early, rejection episodes of "American Idol" are oddly compelling. But, of course, you can watch those for free.
Read Full Review >Village Voice Peter L'Official
There are many dreadful elements in this chronicle of aging gay male porn star Colton Ford's quest for crossover success in the music industry: sub-amateurish camera work, a maddeningly repetitive score, and a listless narrative.

Don A. gave it a1:
Pedantic, predictable and sappy. How much more must we endure these so-called "documentary" films like Naked Fame which are nothing more than infomercials and shameless self promotionals. Colton Ford has about as much talent as any other porn performer. It's all about who you sleep with, and apparently he has slept/schlept with the right folks to get this film made.
Don N. gave it an8:
Won't be your cuppa tea if you're looking for technical gloss. What makes this compelling are the studies of relationships; from the loving and supportive bond between Colton and Blake, to the nastily exploitative grip of "friend" and ex-manager Kyle Nevins. Goes on your 'Will-See" list.
Tim gave it a2:
Like reality TV, but not entertaining, unless you like watching pathetic losers fail at living.
Suresh N. gave it a10:
The film subtley shows how our culture both worships and abhors pornography, and how the values of pornography or almost the same as the values of so-called legitamate entertainment. The portrait of the supportive relationship between the two porn stars is complex and uplifting. The supportive parents are unique and amazing. Not the film I was expecting. Much better.
Jonathan L. gave it a10:
Stunningly sexy and beautiful. I was deeply moved by the piece of hard work.
Kevin N. gave it a10:
Best documentary of the year yet. 2005 may still be young but it's touching and extremely sexy... yum.
Matthew C. gave it a10:
Colton ford is hooooot is this movie!
