The Onion (A.V. Club) Nathan Rabin
Originally titled Lady Killers, this rancid, underlit B-movie aspires to little more than cheap laughs eked out of the discomfort and queasiness Owen and Friedle feel over sexually servicing assertive, kinky old women.

For the most part, The Gold Diggers is not even chuckle-producing. At best, it might warm a cockle or two or provoke a bit of a smile.

It all makes Nat Lamp's recent "Van Wilder" look like an instant classic.
Read Full Review >Boston Globe Janice Page
Put it this way: National Lampoon's Gold Diggers makes "The Anna Nicole Show" look sophisticated.
Read Full Review >The Hollywood Reporter Luke Sader
Cheap-looking, broad and ultimately unnecessary comedy.
Read Full Review >Los Angeles Times Kevin Crust
A one-gag movie and that one gag isn't funny. Taylor and Lasser are reduced to playing sex-starved Norma Desmonds, and while Friedle and Owen are certainly game, their plan is a waste of everyone's time, especially the audience's.

So stupefyingly hideous that after watching it, you'll need to bathe in 10 gallons of disinfectant, get a full-body scrub and shampoo with vinegar to remove the scummy residue that remains.
Read Full Review >Chicago Reader Hank Sartin
Nothing's quite so painful as failed comedy, and this atrocity is equivalent to a compound fracture.
Read Full Review >Seattle Post-Intelligencer Sean Axmaker
Less offensive than embarrassing, at least for the chagrined performers.
Read Full Review >San Francisco Chronicle Peter Hartlaub
A movie so filled with contemptible, ugly and unfunny characters that it is physically difficult to watch.
Read Full Review >New York Post Lou Lumenick
Certainly the most painfully unfunny of the countless bad movies that have licensed the name of the long-defunct humor magazine.
Read Full Review >LA Weekly Tim Appelo
A May-September sex farce so prodigiously unintriguing that audiences could be forgiven for stampeding from theaters to strangle its writer-director, Gary Preisler, in his sleep.

Soul-touching. Thumbs up. Hands down, the greatest film of the year: don't miss under any circumstances.
nathan B. gave it a0:
I felt completely betrayed by this movie. Super hot, bikini-clad woman on the cover. Kinky, disturbing, horrifying old lady sex in the film. Terrible doesn't begin to describe the acting and the storyline is just as bad. If you ever fantasize about your grandmother getting it on with your best friend then this is a movie for you. If not, stay away from this piece of garbage they call a "movie". Worst movie ever made by far.
Jordan N. gave it a0:
