Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas

The filmmakers' special triumph lies in the inspired way that in the nick of time it draws its story to a close, with Nora and Joyce struggling toward a new level of understanding.

We may not fully grasp what Nora saw in Joyce, but what he saw in her is made unmistakable, and worth seeing.

Mr. Showbiz Kevin Maynard

Like "Pollock," Nora is a convincing portrait of the intersection between creative genius and crazy, all-consuming love.

Edith I. gave it a 9:
This is a superb film which brings vividly to life an almost unbearably intense love between a great artist and the woman of his life. There is enormous integrity in the way the stages of the relationship unfolded. Nothing is sugar coated or glossed over, but on the other hand the sex and violence embedded in the story are not used for effect but to tell the story.
