Variety Eddie Cockrell
The big, burly Samoan Wedding is a shrewdly written, impeccably timed and audaciously played romantic comedy.

The all-Polynesian cast, many of whom developed this material as part of a theater troupe called "The Naked Samoans," bring so much energy and glee to the telling that one can only smile and hope they all profit wildly from the American remake that's reportedly in the works.

It has an affectionate aura, a warmth to it. But at the same time, the audience is left standing on the outside, almost as though watching a home movie: Clearly, this meant something to the people who made it, but it's hard to say what or why.

Philip S. gave it a9:
Funny, wise, and touching - the male equivalent of a 'chic flick'.
Joe M. gave it a9:
Great humor but damn what's up with all the "dick" jokes...I think the movie and the storyline itself would have been just as effective without the "ghetto dick" language. Overall, I loved it. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to a sequel along the storyline of the romantic antics of these crazy & funny stars.
