Dallas Observer Luke Y. Thompson

Shadow Hours must stand simply as an impressive B movie. Compared with what we've seen lately, however, that doesn't seem like a bad achievement by any means.

TV Guide Maitland McDonagh

Very entertaining, if thoroughly silly.

Chicago Reader Lisa Alspector

An intriguing noir whose conceptual sophistication is partly undermined by naive execution.

Philadelphia Inquirer Desmond Ryan

A pointless modern morality play set in various sleazy locales that offer sex, drugs, assorted perversions, bare-knuckle fights, and even Russian roulette where lives are wagered for money.

Seattle Post-Intelligencer Paula Nechak

The lapses in logic make a weak subplot about a serial killer on the loose just plain silly instead of provocative.

Mr. Showbiz Larry Terenzi

Without any momentum and lacking both depth and interesting characters, Shadow Hours makes sin seem pretty damn boring.

Village Voice Amy Taubin

Isaac Eaton wrote and directed; he evidences little talent in either department.

Film.com Robert Horton

A standard morality tale, and looks especially weak in the shadow of "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Fight Club," which it resembles.

New York Daily News Jami Bernard

A cheaply voyeuristic story whose "twist" is hardly worth the wait.

Cynical to an extreme, it doesn't illustrate its points but blasts them at us -- in italics, boldface and capital letters.

Cortney W. gave it a10:
I like movie becuase it is awesome movie.

Christian D. gave it a 10:
This film was amazing. Even though it was low budget, the plot is a grabber. I did not want to walk away ever. The acting extrodinary and the actors fit the parts. It allows you to see the other side. I recomend it to everyone not weak of stomach.

Kane R. gave it an 8:
An impressive movie limited by budget constraints. Though the film could use some work, and was a bit predictable in its progressive descent, it still maintained a certain uniqueness which is often lost in modern film. It is a movie which is unafraid to break out of the cookie cutter mold and attempt to be truly dark, a movie which is highly successful in portraying a truly Satanic devil figure, and a movie which ultimately fails to live up to its potential but yet provides us with some interesting insights. Its not a movie everyone would enjoy, but it is a movie worth viewing.

Steyne C. gave it an 8:
It is definitely not the movie you would recommend. But why? Simply because it shows what is deep inside us. Hate, sex, drug, love. That we hate the world we're living in? That we try to make sense of nothing? The film has no real end. But does mankind have an end?
