New York Post Kyle Smith

The dialogue, at best serviceable, becomes completely superfluous.

The Hollywood Reporter Frank Scheck

Written by "Final Destination" screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick, the film has its dubious pleasures, not the least of which is the extended sight of nubile lead actress Jenna Dewan in a bustier, high heels and killer miniskirt.

TV Guide Maitland McDonagh

Repetitive and uninspired, it panders to the lowest expectations of horror buffs and squanders the efforts of a competent cast.

Film Threat Felix Vasquez Jr.

You've seen it in "Carrie", you've seen it in "Prom Night 2", and you've seen it in "Urban Legends 2: Bloody Mary". Oh, you haven't seen that one? Well, join the club. Tamara is a hybrid of all three films.

LA Weekly Mark Olsen

Tamara simply doesn't cover all the bases in its drive to be both a grubby teen splatter flick and a more high-minded thriller.

Damon C. gave it a0:
This is complete tripe. Avoid at all cost. Matthew Marsden (the teacher) sleepwalks through it, and the "Carrie" central character is neither quirky, sexy or menacing enough for me to care an iota. Sad sad sad!
