Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert

An imperfect movie with so many moments of truth that you forgive its stumbles. You also note that it's probably of historical value, because it centers on the first performance of an actress who is going to be a big star.

Variety Scott Foundas

May not be a complete success, but it is in some ways that rarest of commodities in American movies: It is a movie about sex and sexuality, in its many perversions and permutations, done without falling back on an exploitatively comic or violent scenario.

Chicago Reader Hank Sartin

This is both melodramatic and overly tidy in its plotting, but its odd personal relationships are utterly believable.

The Onion (A.V. Club) Tasha Robinson

Marquis herself rarely comes off as less than fascinating, in spite of her cheaply titillating material.

LA Weekly Kim Morgan

Though spiked with nice performances (Marquis herself is a natural, no matter how lame her lines), This Girl's Life succeeds more as a nudie curio.

Tony D. gave it an8:
Superb story about some of the inner workings of the internet porn industry. Breakout performance by Juliette Marquis who has the talent to make it far in Hollywood! This film is a must see...

Mike T. gave it an8:
Very good film about the life of an adult film internet star. Juliette Marquis is great in her first film and is a beautiful actress to boot. James Woods is great playing her father who is afflicted with Parkinson's. Film is in the tradion of Boogie Nights with Marquis narrating and sometimes talking directly into the camera. worth a look.
