LA Weekly Scott Foundas
This ridiculously entertaining sequel is that rare part deux that leaves you hankering for part trois. The action is, in a word, spectacular, but also playful, inventive and witty.

In fact the sequel is a better film than the original, as if writer-producer Luc Besson had a clearer idea of what he wanted to do (and didn't want to do).

Transporter 2 was directed by Louis Leterrier and he exemplifies a perfect style for this type of film by showing us the action without editing it to bits.

Slick kidnapping yarn starts off like a bat out of hell and never sags.

That a movie can run on empty and still be so obscenely enjoyable is a pretty slick stunt in itself.

Statham isn't the best thing in Transporter 2; he's essentially the only thing.

Chucks the laws of logic and physics out the passenger's-side window, and it's all the better for it.

The computer-enhanced vehicle chases look fake, but the hand-to-hand combat scenes are the best of the year.

It busts the credibility meter early on, quickly becomes preposterous, and then really lets its imagination rip.

Stands a triumph of stunts over plot, of style over substance--of the wool we pull over our own eyes. It's brainless, high-speed, popcorn fun.

But certainly this is a movie for fans of Willis-style action with a little James Bond and probable instant obsolescence thrown in.

Purely shallow but never dull, the film wisely pushes the limits of absurdity to the extreme, making it easier to submit to its sheer camp.

Another all-kicking, punching, shooting and exploding dose of Besson born action, and Jason Statham proves that his action mettle in the first instalment was no fluke.
Read Full Review >Entertainment Weekly Gregory Kirshling
The greatest thing about the movie is Statham, a charismatic silent, deadly type who deserves to take the wheel behind a better franchise.

If you can get past the impossibilities it is a fun time at the movies.

I just saw The Transporter 2 on the way home from the lobotomy clinic, and boy, is it enjoyable. What a difference a simple operation makes!

Like a cross between "Man on Fire" and "Bad Boys 2," this demolition derby delivers eye-popping action sequences that would make even the Roadrunner roll his eyes in disbelief.

For high-speed action, eye-popping locales, and chopsocky fight-fests galore, watch The Transporter - on video.

When the spectacle turns ridiculous, the movie just becomes another big-screen video game.

The original movie's lean production complemented its pell-mell fights and car chases; here, third-rate CG effects make the strained action sequences look even more improbable.

Choreographer Corey Yuen's use of a fire hose is far more creative than anything in the stale kidnapper plot.

A sequel that makes it clear that the outrageous antics of the first movie had a one-time-only charm.

Jason Statham is back as the fast-driving, fast-kicking Frank Martin, but this sequel fails to deliver the charm of its predecessor.
Read Full Review >Austin Chronicle Marc Savlov
The only glimmer of actual characterization in the entire film comes – all too briefly – from Frank's old boss Inspector Tarconi (Berléand).
Read Full Review >TV Guide Maitland McDonagh
If not precisely charismatic, Statham brings authentic athleticism and a certain cheeky presence to his lightly written role.
Read Full Review >New York Daily News Jami Bernard
This stripped-down premise made the first "Transporter" fun: It's all about driving skills and choreographed fights, not logic. Even with so few requirements, Transporter 2 runs on empty.

Fábio L. gave it a0:
This is the worst film I ever seen, Don't waste your time.
Russ gave it a7:
As Dr. Evil once said, "Why must I be surrounded by frickin' idiots?" That is exactly what Frank Martin (Jason Statham) must feel like in Transporter 2. Transporter 2 is the sequel to the 2002 movie about Frank Martin a former Special Ops Agent who is a transporter of sorts who ends up getting involved with people who are in the business of transporting Asian slaves. This time around the child of his temporary employers who was under his care has been kidnapped by a group of people with a need to poison and kill a bunch of leaders evolved in drug enforcement. Just like the first movie, this movie boasts a number of action scenes that range from the insane to the absurd, all of which are completely fun to watch and make the movie completely watchable despite the numerous flaws. Like I said, Frank Martin seems to be surrounded by a host of stupid and incompetent supporting characters minus Audrey Billings (Amber Valletta) and Inspector Tarconi (François Berléand). It is obvious that Frank and Audrey are constantly frustrated by idiocy of the other characters in the movie. Why? How does a poor script and terrible acting suit you as a good reason? The plot is simplistic, the majority of the acting is terrible, and the writing is full of fail. Even Jason Statham is suck with some pretty weak one liners. Overall, the action scenes alone make this movie worth the time. Some people will find most of the scenes overly ridiculous and will most likely be turned off by them. But ff you are willing to turn off your brain for 90 minutes, you will find this movie enjoyable. If you are looking for a masterpiece, you'll probably be disappointed and should look elsewhere.
Jason gave it a1:
Tired bang-em-up, shoot-em-up, bull-crap I've seen this movie like so many times since childhood. Completely unbelivable scenes. Someone wrote this movie on coke.
Jan K. gave it a2:
One of the worst movies I have ever seen. The so-called story is totally absurd and far-fetched, the characters are as uninteresting as possible and the stunts may be cool if you like unrealistic action, but they are so ridicoulus that I laughed when seeing several of them. If you are about to buy the DVD, you better put the money in your next meal and eat it, because the movie is as senseless as doing that. At least. But eating money more fun.
Josh T. gave it a5:
no where near as good as the first one but still has an entertaining value to it. it has some great scenes but also has some down-right fake and quality-ruining scenes. Great acting and a decent plot make this film bearable.
Matt B. gave it a1:
What the world really needed was another movie about an unarmed guy who kicks and slugs his way through teams of armed FBI agents and drug Czars. This movie was difficult to endure. Don't waste your time.
Larry M. gave it an8:
This is a must buy movie!! Love all the action the only thing that I did not like was the car it did not get a scratch on it how dumb is that!
