Time Richard Corliss
The real fun is in seeing Hong Kong pop cinema at its innocent, crowd-pleasing best. And for Jackie, that goes double.

Twin Dragons is still a Chan film, albeit not a great one. As fans have figured out by now, that goes a long way.

Here's Jackie Chan playing twins separated at birth, though not as separated as English is from the actors' lip movements in this silly, speedy, wretched dubbed action goof. [16 April 1999, Life, p.8E]
Los Angeles Times Gene Seymour
Mindless escape. [12 April 1999, Calendar, p.F-4]
Variety Joe Leydon
Ticket buyers get two Jackie Chans for the price of one in Twin Dragons, but the pic itself is no great bargain.

Chan hams it up throughout -- to little avail -- but the final brawl should please fans of his balletic action sequences, that is, if they can endure the full hour of silliness before it.
Read Full Review >Film Threat Ron Wells
If you like Chan's Hong Kong films, you'll like this. Much of the "dramatic" work and dialogue are horrible but the stunt work here is actually superior to many of Chan's films.

An American reissue, with a fresh new soundtrack and all the dialogue dubbed.

Action comedy hurriedly cobbled together as a fund-raiser for the Hong Kong Directors' Guild.

It's all pretty dumb, but if you're in the mood for this sort of thing, you won't have a bad time. [9 April 1999, Friday, p.F]
LA Weekly Hazel-Dawn Dumpert
As usual, the final fight-scene extravaganza is outstanding, but its hardly worth the dreary hour and a half that precedes it.
Read Full Review >ReelViews James Berardinelli
The only worthwhile portion of Twin Dragons is the climactic action sequence, but, to get to that, it's necessary to endure more than an hour of unfunny physical comedy and excruciating verbal interaction.
