New Times (L.A.) Gregory Weinkauf
As a whole it's vibrant, witty and richly detailed.
Read Full Review >TV Guide Steve Simels
The cast is uniformly excellent -- Pryce in simultaneously utterly horrible and a real hoot as the wildly egomaniacal paterfamilias -- but the film itself is merely mildly charming.
Read Full Review >San Francisco Chronicle Edward Guthmann
Pryce is very good, but Very Annie Mary is a bit too eager to please.
Read Full Review >The New York Times Stephen Holden
As it lurches between mush and farce, Very Annie Mary churns up a few genuinely funny bits.
Read Full Review >New York Daily News Elizabeth Weitzman
Having mined England and Ireland dry, filmmakers are now turning to Wales for their quirkiness quota.
Read Full Review >New York Post Lou Lumenick
Strong contender for the weirdest movie released this year.
Read Full Review >LA Weekly John Powers
Annoyingly fourth-hand -- scraped from the shoes of "The Full Monty," mixed with Michael Caine's "Little Voice" hair-smarm and salted with "Billy Elliot's" dandruff.

Ellen H. gave it a9:
A hoot! Has some problems, but all in all, a cheery movie. Laughed out loud several times, a rarity in movies these days.
Abby P. gave it a 10:
Absolute classic! laughed at every moment of it!!!
Steven R. gave it a 1:
If you neither like or hate the characters, you end up not caring what happens to them. Walked out halfway through.
Barbara D. gave it a 10:
It's been six months since I've seen this movie and I still can't stop wanting to see it again. Am looking to buy it for Christmas for friends who haven't caught it in the theatre. Have not been able to rent it in any of the usual places. This was the funniest, most poignant movie I have seen in years! And I want to share it with everyone I know.
Glyn O. gave it a 10:
This Film has to be one of the best I've ever seen. It accurately reflects Welsh Valleys life in its best form - pure humour from begining to end. It helps to be Welsh to fully understand the background, nevertheless I have no hesitation in recommeding this film 10 +++
Allen gave it a 10:
There are no car crashes, no explosions, no plastic people. This film is not for the immature.
Glyn O. gave it a 10:
This has to be the best welsh movie ever. The cast are brilliant and the acting is superb. The commedy is typically Welsh in character and is 2nd to none!!
