100

Film Threat Phil Hall

A symphony of small gestures, throwaway glances, brief exchanges of unexpected observation and silences which actually say more than pages of dialogue.

Village Voice Dennis Lim

The film is a model of precision and economy, from the scrupulous framing and editing to the dryly note-perfect performances.

The New York Times Manohla Dargis

A deadpan comedy shot through with a vein of despair, the Uruguayan film Whisky is a pint-size pleasure.

Boston Globe Wesley Morris

A fine film of few words and very little motion.

The Onion (A.V. Club) Scott Tobias

Mordantly funny deadpan comedy.

The Hollywood Reporter Ray Bennett

Chicago Reader J.R. Jones

Though the film might be considered slow-paced by some, I had a smile on my face through most of it. Great character study wonderfully acted.

Gabriel L. gave it a9:
Excellent film. Well-acted. Mirella Pascual deserves a 10/10 for her performance. This film could only have been made in Uruguay, believe me.
