In career mode you will start as a coaster design apprentice and work your way up to a master designer. Along the way you will unlock new theme park locations, cart models, decals, and more. Use these items to build custom Theme Parks for your coaster to roll through.

Select a steel, wooden, or inverted track type, and then draw the basic track design on the touch screen. Coaster Creator 3D will turn this design into a completed roller coaster in full 3D in just seconds.
Coaster Creator 3D allows players to quickly and easily create thrilling 3D rollercoasters. The possibilities are unlimited.

It starts with a steep learning curve, the interface can be creaky, and it's not the prettiest attraction around; but there's still plenty of creative fun to be found in this capable coaster creator.

Though Career Mode is tedious and makes unlocking new elements a chore, the customization options and freedom you have when building coasters are worth the fuss. Coaster Creator 3D is a fun tool for any coaster fan or theme park enthusiast.

While Coaster Creator 3D offers great tools, it is a very limited game experience.

The rollercoaster genre hasn't stood out in the last 9 years and it's not Coaster Creator 3D that will change the way things are looking. While the roller coaster editor is very varied and ambitious, the game is not properly constructed and all its (older) PC counterparts are still more attractive options for anyone looking to build and ride roller coasters.

    Summery: Just close to greatness

Accessibility: 5/10 because while you can master the interface if you try, you'll have to read the instruction manual to get to know the interface. Career Mode does a decent job of gradually exposing you to the features, you get thrown in from the word go without any prompts or hints whatsoever. Editing a coaster using a 2D interface and viewing the results on a 3D screen can mean that you can spend more time adjusting camera angles on both screens rather then editing your coaster track. Sandbox Mode is not as effected by this because there's no aims.

Fun & Value: 8/10 if you're into making roller coaster. For me, Sandbox Mode with its unlimited creativity and bonus mini-game entitled Stare Roller is the meat of the game and makes it worth the £5 asking price! Same goes for value but the mini-game adds to the value in my opinion.

Conclusion: The complex interface lets this otherwise fantastic game down. But if you can live with that AND like making roller coasters, then it's earned my recommendation!
