May 28, 201191Having played both Super Street Fighter IV and Dead or Alive Dimensions, DOAD is far superior is our books and is easily one of the best fighters available on any portable console. The gameplay is flawlessly fun and even though we have seen it all before, this may be the fact on home consoles but not in the portable world of gaming. The developers have included enough fan service to make any Dead or Alive fanboy or girl glee from joy but best of all, it's got the gameplay and the graphics.

Sep 14, 201190Dead or Alive Dimensions does a great job at creating a true Dead or Alive experience on a portable console.
-
Jul 31, 201190If you're looking for a good, original and 3D fighting game for the new Nintendo handheld, Dead or Alive: Dimensions must be in your collection.
-
Jun 22, 201190No matter which way your see it - 2D or 3D - Dead or Alive is one of the best titles on 3DS and, potentially, the best handheld fighting game ever.
-
Jun 15, 201190The obvious choice for any fans of beat 'em up games that want an excellent portable brawler. Great visuals, tight controls and loads of collectables and bonus features. Highly recommended for both newcomers and professionals. As long as you manage to find it in a Swedish store, that is.
-
Jun 14, 201190Dead or Alive Dimension is a surprising Beat'em Up. It's a strange kind of "Best of", combining old and new elements, strages, charachters. Despite some issues with the IA, its core mechanics work well, and the whole experience is compelling and deep.
-
Jun 9, 201190Easily my favorite 3DS title released to date, and reason enough to get me back to carrying the system around with me wherever I go.
-
Jun 1, 201190Playing Dead or Alive again has been a highly enjoyable journey of rediscovery. The more time I've spent playing it, the more I've remembered why I've really enjoyed the series over the years. It's a really fun fighting game that's easy to pick up and play, features some great characters, and delivers some very satisfying moments, especially when you pull off a huge series of moves that look spectacular, or punch someone off the top of a particularly high area so they fall to their death.
-
Jun 1, 201190DOA Dimensions is a fantastic entry in the series and a must-have for someone craving a portable fighting game.
-
Jun 1, 201190Dead or Alive Dimensions is a great game. It's loads of fun, lots to do, and has plenty of longevity. It's pick-up-and-play nature makes it perfect for a handheld too, it's easy to have a quick blast through an arcade course during a short bus journey. With the current lack of quality titles for Nintendo's new handheld this shines out like a star.
-
May 31, 201190Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a great portable version of the popular franchise, and the right way to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this brand. The 4 buttons gameplay is perfect for the Nintendo 3DS, and for the first time the 3D effect is kinda good.
-
May 30, 201190Simply put, Dead or Alive: Dimensions is another excellent fighting game for the young 3DS handheld console.
-
May 27, 201190Some people might be turned off by its ease of entry, but the spectacular online play, neat little fight-a-friend Street Pass feature, and 26-character roster is enough to turn the rest of us on.
-
May 19, 201190A love letter to Dead Or Alive fans and a dizzying companion piece to SSFIV3D.
-
May 6, 201190Within the launch window of the Nintendo 3DS, we've gotten two--Dead or Alive Dimensions and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition--and they're the two best games in the handheld's library so far. [May 2011, p.84]
-
Jun 6, 201188For Dead or Alive fans, Dimensions is a sort of collected archive, with lots of characters and stages that have all appeared in previous titles. There isn't a whole of new stuff technically, but it is all so expertly executed on the 3DS, that you really don't mind. And the way newcomers are eased into the combat, it really makes it a Dead or Alive for everyone. This is one of the strongest releases yet for the 3DS yet, and definitely one worth picking up for any fighting fan. And if that didn't sell you on it, there may or may not be an unlockable stage featuring Ridley from Metroid, which is just plain cool.

Nov 14, 201187If you like Dead or Alive and own a 3DS, you will surely be happy with Dead or Alive: Dimensions.
-
May 30, 201186Dead or Alive Dimensions hits the 3DS in style. With great graphics, solid sound, and some stellar gameplay, including local or internet Wi-Fi multiplayer play, one cannot go wrong with this newest fighting game for Nintendo's new handheld gaming console. Players of all levels will no doubt have a great time with this game.
-
May 27, 201185This is yet another great fighting game for Nintendo 3DS. Visually stunning and very atractive, with great gameplay and able to offer lots of hours of fun thanks to its great online mode.
-
May 26, 201184With a plethora of modes and an engaging online experience, DOA: Dimensions has lasting value for sure.
-
Jun 14, 201183It might be less friendly as far as the controls are concerned than its closest competitor, but it's gorgeous, full-featured and worth every penny invested. A must have among all 3DS titles currently available in stores.
-
Jun 4, 201183Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a really good game and a great treat for the fans of the series; while it doesn't offer anything truly new, the DoA combat system and the high production values will please many 3DS players.
-
Jun 1, 201183But if you're sick of the Street and want a good point/counter-point battle, this is the only one on the 3DS right now… and it's a good thing it's damn fun.
-
Oct 19, 201182Dimensions is a surprisingly good fighter for a handheld platform, full of jiglly graphics and good single player content. Even though my personal pick would be Street Fighter 4, Dead or Alive is still a good purchase. [Aug 2011]
-
Jun 4, 201182Scrumptious-looking scrapper that lacks Street Fighter's smarts but plays like a dream. [July 2011, p.86]
-
Aug 29, 201180Technically excellent 3D and flawless controls are enough to make DoA one of the best games available for Nintendo 3DS. [Issue#207]
-
Jul 3, 201180It's not the most technical or the deepest fighter you'll ever play, but you'll struggle to find something so skillfully designed to complement its platform in any genre. [Issue#110, p.106]
-
Jun 22, 201180Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a solid 3D fighting game. From the lush character animations, to the swift and responsive control scheme, the game shines with polish. Being the first Dead or Alive game to exist on a Nintendo platform, Team Ninja have pulled out all the stops and delivered a comprehensive title. You have access to 25 discrete fighters and the moves and combos that come with them, each with multiple costumes and unique special and sound effects.
-
Jun 13, 201180Dimensions is a consummate example of the handheld fighting game. It's packed with content (the highlight of which is a Chronicle mode which recaps stories from past DOA games), and brings back fond memories spent playing the Dead Or Alive games across previous generations.
-
Jun 7, 201180As well executed as its console counterparts, Dead or Alive : Dimensions really is stunning, both technically and gameplay-wise. Too bad the 3D doesn't bring anything to the table, really, except some frame rate drops that the purists won't be able to handle. For the rest, it's the portable DoA you can't miss to enjoy dynamic combats and pretty lady fighters!
