HarmoKnight is a fan game, though it is a little simple on difficulty for most of it. While the main game is kind of short, lasting only a few hours, there’s still plenty to do afterwards, including unlocking bonus songs and challenging yourself to faster versions of the songs in the game.
HarmoKnight is among the best the 3DS eShop has to offer. Playtime only clocks in at around 4-5 hours, but it is a full experience. With its diverse levels, rhythm-focused gameplay, great music, and charming characters, HarmoKnight will be a memorable experience for those lucky enough to discover it.

A very fun and addicting rhythm based running game. although there are moments where it will frustrate, its very fast paced and satisfying with fantastic presentation. Well worth the asking price.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish, HarmoKnight offers a simple concept to understand and enough challenge and variety to keep players involved.
HarmoKnight has the Nintendo polish, but you’re spending $14.99 for what is essentially a glorified mobile game.
In the end, though, the music needs to shine, and HarmoKnight fails to measure up to the best in the genre. We continued playing, not to see how the story unfolded, but in the hope the soundtrack would substantially improve.
Although this is a game that has an extensive single-player campaign, it’s not very effective mechanics, uninspired songs and an absence of other game modes, determine the final outcome.
A hugely disappointing side venture from the creators of Pokémon, which barely seems to understand the rhythm action genre let alone try and evolve it.
Get into this game. A fun rhythm based game with nice catchy tunes that keep you going. HarmoKnight has bright friendly graphics and a less punishing attitude to the player then other rhythm based games. This is a game that wants to be played and wants you to have fun. The character design is crisp, clean, leaning on a more Bust-a-Groove(Enix) style of art mixed with a musical based universe. The controls are responsive and heavy replay value do to self competition. Very content heavy, well worth the money.

I always enjoy music games, and this one is no exception. I enjoyed the many various levels and designs, as well as the music in game. The graphics were crisp and the characters' designs were nice to look at. The only issues I have are that the difficulty spike was sudden in the game, I couldn't get the official 'All Perfect' ending, and the jumping drums were finicky. Perhaps I couldn't time it right, but more often than not, whenever I reached a drum, 8 out of 10 times, I end up falling. But the game is still enjoyable, even with those flaws.

I really wish HarmoKnight would have been a retail release, the characters and stories are there, but it certainly seems like it was cut a bit. Course what is there is essentially a wondrous adventure of rhyme and rhythm, I just wish there was more of it. At the very least, GameFreak made another good game, but hopefully this time it gets noticed...unlike Drill Dozer.

Simple, fun, but not without frustrations. Now that the 3DS has been retired, its online systems discontinued, I felt it was time to take a look at a few of the victims of this tragic event. Harmoknight is a simple rhythm game that is honestly charming and fun, though it does have a couple of flaws. I felt the timing on some of the button presses was a little off, perhaps a result of the game being a little too lenient. I also felt that the game had a couple of frustrating moments toward the end that put a bit of a damp mood on my playthrough. Nevertheless, I think Harmoknight was a fun game. Maybe some day it will see the light of day again.

Control responsiveness is the most important thing when it comes to a rhythm game. When you screw up as badly as the developers of Harmoknight have when it comes to that, it doesn't matter how good the music is or how much charm the game has,
