This is one of the best 3DS releases this year, and certainly not a title I’d urge any Nintendo, or old-school action/adventure fan to miss.
  2. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby Triple Deluxe is an amazing game with tons of replay value and is one of the few games that makes the most of the 3DS' capabilities. It's a sure winner and will long be remembered one of the best games the 3DS has to offer.

You can't go wrong in picking up Kirby Triple Deluxe. This is a fantastic game that is a showcase piece for the franchise. 3DS owners need to have this one in their library.
  4. Apr 28, 2014
If you ever enjoyed a Kirby game, you really should check this one out.
  5. May 2, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a load of fun and adorably cute.
  6. Jun 27, 2014
Kirby Triple Deluxe is an improvement of the series' design, and also of other series' elements.
  7. May 20, 2014
Completely wonderful in every way, Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a must for fans of the franchise, and anyone who enjoys the platforming genre.
  8. May 7, 2014
The main story encourages players to go through stages several times in order to discover all the secrets and collect every possible extra, but on top of that there is the mini-Smash Bros. - aka Kirby Fighters - included for some exhilarating battle fun, as well as the reaction-based musical treat of Dedede's Drum Dash.

The little pink dude does it again. A whole new game with a story mode and two other modes on the side to enjoy. Everything look and feels wonderful. This is a must have on the 3DS.
  10. Apr 30, 2014
One of the best platforming titles on the 3DS, hands down.
  11. Apr 28, 2014
Three games in one for a nearly perfect debut on 3DS of the pink rounded mascot by Nintendo.
  12. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby is a legitimate stalwart in the Nintendo pantheon, and while the series has had a lot of ups and very few downs, I’m willing to go on record and say that Triple Deluxe is one of the best, and can stand alongside any of the Kirby classics.
  13. Apr 28, 2014
If you’ve been following the franchise for years, you’ll love this title and if this is your first shot at Kirby’s brand of suck, don’t be scared.
  14. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby’s debut on the 3DS could not have been better as new powers and puzzles complement classic Kirby gameplay to provide an experience both fresh and familiar to longtime fans.
  15. Apr 28, 2014
Beautiful looking and full of surprises, Kirby Triple Deluxe is probably the best game in the never-ending Nintendo series.
  16. Kirby is more at home on 3DS than he ever was on Wii as HAL cooks up a delightful adventure that is perfect fodder for the young and young-at-heart.
  17. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is an fun and colorful platform. It's pretty easy but well tuned and never frustrating, filled with content, levels and hidden treasure. HAL Laboratory made use of depth in some unique and interesting ways. Too bad the last world is a bit of a let down.
  18. Apr 28, 2014
With so much to do, achieving 100% completion will take some real effort. It’s fair to say the game earns the Deluxe in its title, and almost everything here is well done. Charming and light like its hero, Kirby Triple Deluxe has some real substance under all the pink fluff.

Getting through it might be a breeze, but it's what Kirby has you doing that inflates the game's excellence. [July 2014, p.70]
  20. May 12, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a fantastic game. One of the best platforming titles launched recently on 3DS.
  21. Apr 28, 2014
I’ve played quite a few Kirby games, and Kirby: Triple Deluxe may very well be my new favorite. It has perfected the platforming experience and has more content than even Kirby could fit into his fat mouth.
  22. Apr 28, 2014
Triple Deluxe does a better job than most Kirby games at retaining a consistent upward slope of challenge throughout.
  23. 85
There are annoyances here and there, but Kirby: Triple Deluxe is still a strong entry in the Kirby franchise.
  24. Apr 29, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is exactly what you would expect it to be: multiple game modes, creative level design, fun lighthearted style, colorful presentation, and crisp precise platforming. Kirby continues to live as a creative series built around a simple mechanic of move stealing and move-set freedom and will always be regarded dearly in this gamer's heart.

A fine looking platformer. The gameplay is quite easy since Kirby is able to... well... fly. It's a fun game nonetheless. [June 2014]
  26. May 9, 2014
Altogether, there is a ton of content to experience in Triple Deluxe that will keep players busy well beyond the conclusion of the main game. This is a game easily worth any player’s time, be they a rookie or veteran player. Make your day deluxe and buy a copy of Kirby’s latest game.
  27. May 12, 2014
Funny, varied, stylish, with gameplay that make use of its elements in a clever way to never feel repetitive trough out the main Campaign mode, Kirby's Triple Deluxe is that, a triple success in its rhythm, visuals and soundtrack.
  28. May 12, 2014
Any Kirby fun should buy this game. It's not the best of the series, but it's a great, although easy, platformer, and holds minigames and content to keep us playing for a long while.
  29. Feb 26, 2015
If you're looking for a light-as-air platformer to turn to in this era of grizzled shooters and dark adventure, Kirby's the right kind of good, clean fun to cleanse your palate.
  30. Jun 20, 2014
Although the controls are a little stiff, the new boss battles, multiple game modes, and the Hypernova ability all add to what makes Triple Deluxe a really fun game to play.
  31. May 20, 2014
Kirby, Nintendo's unsung hero, is back in yet another incredibly charming adventure. The difficulty is a bit low as usual, but it makes the game perfect for a younger audience or people who just want something relaxing and fun to play. Great visuals with impressive 3D are the high points.
  32. May 19, 2014
Kirby Triple Deluxe is not only one of the best platform games available for the 3DS, but also the title that makes best and most inspired use of the 3D capabilities of Nintendo's handheld.
  33. May 12, 2014
After a Yoshi's New Island we found a bit dull, and a very fun Mario Golf : World Tour, Nintendo hits a soft spot with Kirby Triple Deluxe, a real Best of the best from the small pink bubble. Graphically seducing, Hal Laboratory's tittle shines with it's addictive gameplay which uses Kirby's numerous powers, but also thanks to the changing grounds making the 3D use a must. Truly enjoyable, Kirby Triple Deluxe could have been perfect with a bit more risk-taking, instead of using game mechanics already seen numerous times. But the real drawback it that almighty feel you get while facing enemies, and the fact that the game is way too easy to provide a real challenge. We'll dry our tears with the truckload of unlockable bonuses that gives a good replay value. A game not to be missed if you like platformer games or are a Kirby fan.
  34. May 8, 2014
By exploiting the autostereocopic display cleverly, HAL Laboratory added depth in many ways to this cloudy world.
  35. May 5, 2014
The minor melding of the Return to Dreamland structure and the addition of finely tuned extras carries enough weight to make Triple Deluxe a must-have 3DS title for Nintendo loyalists.
  36. May 2, 2014
For fans of 2D platformers it’s a good choice, and definitely worth checking out.
  37. Apr 30, 2014
Though it's probably best suited for younger players and for the ones not very good at platformers, Hal Laboratory's last effort is nonetheless an enjoyable ride with one the sweetest Nintendo mascots and an example of how the 3d effect can help the gameplay.
  38. Apr 30, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe marks the successful arrival of the iconic pink ball for 3DS. The adventure itself is enough for some nice hours of gameplay and there are two more games. Even if they don’t have same dimension of the main adventure, are nonetheless attractive offers.
  39. 80
One of the most inventive and enjoyable Kirby games in quite while, not because of the lackluster minigames, but because the main game keeps surprising you.
  40. Apr 28, 2014
A good platformer: simple, straightforward, colorful. Exactly what you would expect from a new Kirby adventure.
  41. Apr 28, 2014
It's a blast, no matter how easy. Kirby Triple Deluxe, like its namesake, has the fine-tuned ability to suck you right in, no matter who you are.
  42. Apr 28, 2014
Triple Deluxe is a solid platformer bookended by some great extras, even if it is pretty easy, give or take a couple of tricky boss encounters. It lacks the sense of wonderment that Epic Yarn generated with its incredible use of texture, humour and verve, yet is still well worth a look -and is perhaps the finest handheld outing for the cerise sucker.
  43. Apr 28, 2014
Even if you tend not to care much about Kirby games – understandably, given how toothless they can be – Triple Deluxe merits attention. Smart level design and a remarkable level of detail make this portable platformer one of Kirby's greatest adventures to date.
  44. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe doesn't succeed on all fronts, but the majority of its campaign is a joy to play, and the "Kirby Fighters" mini-game is solid enough to flesh out the package. Triple Deluxe doesn't reach the heights of Kirby Super Star, but it's still one of the finest Kirby adventures to date.
  45. Apr 28, 2014
It's so sweet it might cause you digital diabetes, but its levels are well designed and the entire thing is thoroughly charming. Kirby Fighters is a surprisingly robust addition, that makes the wait for Super Smash Bros a little more bearable.
  46. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a consistently varied and fun platformer that makes smart use of the its 2.5D plane.
  47. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby Triple Deluxe is a light and breezy trip to the spherical slurper's roots. While those looking for a challenge will find this installment as frustrating as previous entries, fans are in for another undeniably charming treat.
  48. Apr 28, 2014
Kirby:Triple Deluxe is yet another winning entry in the franchise. It delivers the core Kirby experience alongside of a few very well done extras, which is pretty much everything a fan could ask for.
  49. Apr 28, 2014
Where Arzest failed, HAL has triumphed: Kirby might be a little late to the party, but he's arrived laden with treats.
  50. Apr 28, 2014
Triple Deluxe is an absolute diamond of a game, and cements Kirby's place as nothing less than a bone fide platforming superstar.
  51. Apr 28, 2014
While there’s a strange absence of online multiplayer in Kirby Fighters and the Hypernova feature feels somewhat underutilized, Triple Deluxe still ends up being an experience overflowing with delicious content to be gobbled up.
  52. May 26, 2014
A beautifully designed platformer. But once again the difficulty level is not challenging enough.
  53. May 19, 2014
Kirby's first outing on the 3DS is entertaining, nicely polished and has a few nice extra modes. Still, it isn't worth the price of a full 3DS game - a problem that Nintendo keeps running into with their games.
  54. Apr 28, 2014
But Kirby: Triple Deluxe really warmed up after the first world or so, with levels that had me warping between planes and making clever use of Kirby's ever-expanding arsenal. Kirby: Triple Deluxe isn't the prettiest Kirby game — but it's the smartest.

It's got the charm and wonder of games like K64 and Epic Yarn, without sacrificing the awesome movesets the classic Kirby Super Star introduced. It's simply an enjoyable experience. It takes what Return to Dreamland attempted but really polishes the gameplay elements. Everything melds a lot more harmoniously in this game. The Extra fighter mode is frantic and fun. A good way to ease a Smash appetite a bit until the actual game comes out. You've got unlockable modes that provide some more remix of the main game experience, and extra harder boss rush. Plenty of keychains to collect and enjoyable enough I can see myself replaying it. the MUSIC IS AWESOME. It's also the best looking game on the 3DS hands down. It's lush, uses the 3D amazingly, and with the added layers, really enhances some of the exploration and collection. Kirby games are entry level titles but after 22 years, it's easy to see why he still appeals to so many, young and old.

The Kirby franchise's mission is that it's completion be accomplished by anyone. It's was to be a great entry level title in an era of really brutal and often non-welcoming NES and gameboy titles. It was pretty revolutionary at the time. However players of all skill levels have enjoyed the series immensely. Kirby games manage to be engaging regardless of their ease for many people. Their charming worlds, the fun and quirky nature of Kirby's powers, and the high quality of it's visuals and music make gamers happy. Kirby really helped me enjoy gaming as a kid. At the time I felt Dreamland was a lot longer and harder than it actually was. Now I can beat the original in 5 minutes top. Still it gave me the confidence to play more single player games on my own. Now I'm a Monster Hunter fanatic and have played a slew of much harder titles, but I still adore the pink puff ball. As a huge fan, I'd say Kirby's Triple Deluxe is amongst my favorite Kirby games. It stand tall and proud beside the Kirby Super Star classic, in my heart.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Kirby Triple Deluxe is a great 3DS game and shows what the system is capable of. Although the game's main story might be too short, (around 7-8 hours collecting all sun stones) the other game modes make the game even longer and worth it, such as Dedede Tour, where you play all 6 Worlds in a short amount of time as King Dedede, and a boss rush mode. Kirby Fighters is a fun diversion where you get to choose one of 10 powerups and duke it out with other Kirby's. You can play a single-player esque campaign or play with your friends, local or download play. Dedede's Drum Dash is a really tricky minigame that has you controlling King Dedede bouncing to the rhythm. It is awkward to control, but the music is great though. Speaking of music, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing, with the boss themes being standout examples. The bosses in this game are outstandingly creative, with Flowery Woods, the first boss in the game, giving a really good impression. Although slightly too easy, Kirby Triple Deluxe is a fun platformer with outstanding music and lots of extra content to make this worth a purchase. Full Review »
