This is one of the best 3DS releases this year, and certainly not a title I’d urge any Nintendo, or old-school action/adventure fan to miss.

The little pink dude does it again. A whole new game with a story mode and two other modes on the side to enjoy. Everything look and feels wonderful. This is a must have on the 3DS.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is an fun and colorful platform. It's pretty easy but well tuned and never frustrating, filled with content, levels and hidden treasure. HAL Laboratory made use of depth in some unique and interesting ways. Too bad the last world is a bit of a let down.

While there’s a strange absence of online multiplayer in Kirby Fighters and the Hypernova feature feels somewhat underutilized, Triple Deluxe still ends up being an experience overflowing with delicious content to be gobbled up.

The minor melding of the Return to Dreamland structure and the addition of finely tuned extras carries enough weight to make Triple Deluxe a must-have 3DS title for Nintendo loyalists.

Even if you tend not to care much about Kirby games – understandably, given how toothless they can be – Triple Deluxe merits attention. Smart level design and a remarkable level of detail make this portable platformer one of Kirby's greatest adventures to date.

Kirby Triple Deluxe may look great and has some clever ideas for how to use 3D, but falls into a rut of simple platforming and puzzles that rarely require any thought or skill. I admire that it tries to give us more powers and abilities to play with than ever before, but that empowerment shouldn’t come at the expense of any real difficulty.

The graphics are mind blowing, as the last time I played a 3DS game it looked pretty dismal, however, I'd argue this looks better than "Adventure Wii" which is a full console release! The 3D effect is disorienting, as always, but you can turn that off :). The gameplay is the best in a Kirby game for 22 years, when "Kirby's Adventure" for the NES was released. This is easily the best Kirby game since then! For the most part, the levels are basic as basic can be, except feel less linear, and encourage exploration. Some of the levels have multiple paths, and a lot have traps around every corner. The level design, and enemy design is an endearing as always, too. The new powers are awesome, with the addition of Hypernova, which is the greatest ability in any Kirby game, ever. The plot is nowhere near as dark as the other Kirby great, Kirby's adventure, in which the star rod had been stolen and tainted with dark forces, making the people of dreamland have nightmares, and kirby had to rescue it, replace it in the fountain of dreams, and defeat the dark forces on "Nightmare" (Who could be Zero's dad :p). In this game, however, DeDeDe has been captured, but let me ask you, why the hell does Kirby want to save the evil, corrupt leader of Dreamland? He's been trying to defeat him, and mostly succeeding, for the past 26/27 years, and now they're suddenly friends!? What the hell Nintendo? Thank god plot isn't exactly an important feature in modern Kirby games :p. Also, I ask, why are Waddle dee's and others of DeDeDe's minions wanting to foil Kirby? It makes very little sense, but does it have to? No, no it doesn't.

    10/10 would Kirby again.

It's got the charm and wonder of games like K64 and Epic Yarn, without sacrificing the awesome movesets the classic Kirby Super Star introduced. It's simply an enjoyable experience. It takes what Return to Dreamland attempted but really polishes the gameplay elements. Everything melds a lot more harmoniously in this game. The Extra fighter mode is frantic and fun. A good way to ease a Smash appetite a bit until the actual game comes out. You've got unlockable modes that provide some more remix of the main game experience, and extra harder boss rush. Plenty of keychains to collect and enjoyable enough I can see myself replaying it. the MUSIC IS AWESOME. It's also the best looking game on the 3DS hands down. It's lush, uses the 3D amazingly, and with the added layers, really enhances some of the exploration and collection. Kirby games are entry level titles but after 22 years, it's easy to see why he still appeals to so many, young and old.

The Kirby franchise's mission is that it's completion be accomplished by anyone. It's was to be a great entry level title in an era of really brutal and often non-welcoming NES and gameboy titles. It was pretty revolutionary at the time. However players of all skill levels have enjoyed the series immensely. Kirby games manage to be engaging regardless of their ease for many people. Their charming worlds, the fun and quirky nature of Kirby's powers, and the high quality of it's visuals and music make gamers happy. Kirby really helped me enjoy gaming as a kid. At the time I felt Dreamland was a lot longer and harder than it actually was. Now I can beat the original in 5 minutes top. Still it gave me the confidence to play more single player games on my own. Now I'm a Monster Hunter fanatic and have played a slew of much harder titles, but I still adore the pink puff ball. As a huge fan, I'd say Kirby's Triple Deluxe is amongst my favorite Kirby games. It stand tall and proud beside the Kirby Super Star classic, in my heart.

triple deluxe is far too slow paced and easy to be a real good kirby game.
It is probably the worst kirby game ever made next to avalanche, and avalanche was great by normal game standards.
the running speed, action speed, and game engine speed in general is laughable and speed is a huge deal.
just use the wheel for, its a joke how slow it goes. triple deluxe is a kirby game for 3 year old children. almost like the devs thought they had to make a parody of a Kirby game, or thought it was expected of Kirby games to be very slow and easy and overly bright and plasticy (to think there was once a time when kirby games were known for their amazing graphics)

Although the key-chains and hearts show that the dev's hearts were in the wrong place, the engine's easy and slow game-play really makes it a Kirby game no where near as good as amazing mirror, superstar, or the original dreamland series.
