A top down, arena-based shooter with more to it than first meets the eye. Gamelion nail the basics of combat, throws dozens of enemies at you at once, and give you a solid chunk of weapons with which to wipe them out.

Monster Shooter presents a couple of decent ideas, a campaign of good length and generally plays well - overcompensating aim-assist aside - but it's really let down by a lack of variety. With a few exceptions, were it not for a couple of different enemy and environment types you could be easily fooled into thinking that you were playing the same level over and over again. It's solid enough to be worth a look, but its repetitious nature means it's a game to play in chunks rather than in one monstrous session.

Monster Shooter is a shooter like many others: the gameplay follows the classic elements of the genre, and the company has not introduced anything to stand out.

So I bought monster shooter because I needed something to spend my last $4 dollars on the E shop.

This game is a fun button smashing shooter that pins you against hundreds of alien squids as they try to kill you all at once. Has a cool zombie attack kind of feel to it. It has 3 main areas where you complete a series of individual levels within them.

In terms of gameplay, there is quite a bit, but in terms of variation, there is very little. Aside from the different guns you can purchase, and the different items and power ups, the environments don't change much, and there are only about 7 different types of monsters introduced in the whole game. Also, the lack of any Boss fight or significant reward at the end of the levels made feel even less Goal Oriented.

I have to give it 5, because despite the amount of fun I had shooting aliens, by the time I completed all the levels with 3 stars, I didn't win anything. No prize, no epic Boss fight, I never even knew if I completed the objective of saving my cat. Made this game feel just like any other budget smart phone app. I had not been this disappointed with finishing a game completely since I caught all 150 pokemon in red version only to be given that stupid paper saying I did it.
