If you are an One Piece fan and not able to set sail with Ruffy and company on the Wii, you should think about doing so on your 3DS. If you are not an One Piece fan, the at times boring gameplay and technical deficits will not help make you one, though.

One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP is exactly a game for fans.
  3. Feb 21, 2012
One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP is hardly recommendable even to the manga's fans, suffering from tedious gameplay and a bad conversion from the Wii instalments.
  4. Feb 15, 2012
A recommended game for those who like One Piece, but everyone has to consider there is also a Wii version around, with almost the same content except for the Marineford game, the 3D effect and a few more features. It is not outstanding, but it has enough charm to keep us playing for hours.
  5. There's a very good game in there, but it's smothered by dull, arbitrary exploring.
  6. Feb 7, 2012
If you are a fan of One Piece, this game has its charms, but it's hard to understand why it doesn't include the second chapter that is present in the original Japanese version.

If being a pirate was this boring, torrent sites would have shut down years ago. [Apr 2012, p.90]
  8. Mar 21, 2012
One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP is not as limited as expected initially, but for fans who want to have an adventure of the series for Nintendo's portable it can offer a dose of acceptable content.
  9. Mar 12, 2012
One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP is just half of the game it used to be in the japanese version. Namco Bandai cutted away half of the original experience, trying to replace it with a cute statue. The 3DS version of this old Wii game is technically poor and its gameplay is not that good.

Only for Eiichiro Oda fans. The rest should better try Ken's Rage, also from Namco.
  11. Feb 24, 2012
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP is a boring game and even worse it's just half of the original release. Nice albeit old visuals and funny characters can't save an excruciating farming feast, unless you are a true fan of the franchise.
  12. Mar 2, 2012
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP is a game for the fans only, and even they might feel insulted by it.
  13. Feb 20, 2012
Lacking in character and bloated in fetch work, Unlimited Cruise SP is a clumsily translated import that, just like the game's missing second episode, should have been buried at sea.
  14. Feb 13, 2012
Nothing about this game provides enough fun to make it a worthwhile investment, and thus we'd advise you to steer well clear of it.
  15. Feb 7, 2012
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP is a dull, time-consuming collect-a-thon that fails to do the license justice.
  16. Mar 6, 2012
Localisation stinginess has given us the worst possible version of a half-arsed port of a not-very-good Wii game. [March 2012, p.97]
  17. Apr 28, 2012
One Piece: Unlimited SP is a terrible port of a Wii-game, that was pretty lame to begin with. Only the original Japanese voices and it's humor are passable, but other than that, it's not worth wasting time on.
  18. Mar 12, 2012
A game that's literally cut in half (the European version) and doesn't really offer anything to fans of the beloved anime series. Keep your distance.
  19. Feb 10, 2012
A tiresome waste of a strong license, only the most blinkered fan will derive pleasure from this slog of an experience filled with wrong-headed design decisions intended to pad out a game that cannot sustain expansion.
  20. Feb 20, 2012
This is a port that has been amputated of one half of its japanese counterpart (which had two Wii games in it instead of one), and most importantly that is unworthy of the animated series.

An Action RPG made for the fans of One Piece and the genre alike. Good gameplay, beautiful environments and an intriguing story make this game worth playing. A great port that looks wonderful on the 3DS with just a dab of extra content revolving around the Whitebeard War arc, this is definitely worth your time.

I believe this game deserves the critical acclaim it has achieved overseas and that the 9/10 score it claims should speak for itself.

Tedious, annoying and repetitive gameplay that requires constant backtracking and constant puzzling on how to get a material/item, and most of the time you are never even given a hint on how to get it and you have to resort to using guides on the internet.

The Marineford Mode is the only enjoyable thing in this game and even that's just constant battling and nothing else. I only reccommend this game if you are an extreme hardcore fan of One Piece, but I am a fan too and I found this game to be the biggest waste of money ever.
