Order Up!! delivers an addictive and charming gameplay experience that should be on the menu for both beginner and experienced chefs.

As the first full-length retail title to come to be distributed through the eShop, Order Up!! could have gone either way. Fortunately though it has an excellent blend of the best of both worlds: the length of a retail game, and the addictiveness and replayability of a mobile one. Some minor issues do mar the experience a bit, but overall there's very little to complain about. It's frantic, fun, humorous and contains a massive amount of content. If this were a burger order, it'd be well done.

Order Up is a fun diversion, and well worth checking out on the eShop. The game has benefited from the wide distribution and lower price point of digital distribution via Nintendo's online store. If chopping up some onions to throw into a soup sounds like a good way to spend your time, this is absolutely the game for you.

Cutting tomatoes or frying potatoes are still oddly fun activities.

A fairly fun, fast-paced, and satisfying take on the cooking genre. [Jan/Feb 2012, p.85]
  6. Mar 6, 2012
a little mindless, but still fun. [March 2012, p.101]

Order Up!! delivers an eye-catching take on the cooking genre. But the title ultimately serves as more of a fun distraction than an enthralling experience.

The gameplay doesn't have much variety, but is surprisingly addicting. If you see it on sale it might be worth picking up as a brainless time passer. I had a lot of fun with it, but also didn't really have any expectations for it either. Expand
