The graphics make the tables as realistic as possible, though they run at a steady 30FPS. The package does the best job in replicating the actual sounds and ambiance of an actual pinball session. Also, each of the game's 7 tables have lots of replay value.
That being said, the game is not without it's flaws. While the game saves all high scores, jackpot bonuses and credits that you've accrued, it doesn't save the camera angles you pick. Also, the game goes down a notch for not having any form of online leaderboard, which is a shame for competitive play.
Overall, the collection is solid package that could benefit from a few much-needed tweaks. Other than that, I recommend it.… Full Review »

The ball physics feel unrealistic, almost as if I'm rolling a die for a pre-rendered ball path, rather than actually playing pinball. The ball itself has no visible indication of spin.
Aside from the actual artistic display, the actual game-play for this game is like taking a step back 20+ years in pinball simulation. This was one of my first 3DS game purchases, and it was highly regretted.
Pokemon pinball, and Kirby pinball for the Gameboy were both better than this. Both sets of Zen pinball tables available on the 3DS eShop are better than this. These examples all have ball spin, as well as indication of spin visible on the ball, and the physics are functional and do not feel like the ball is moving through molasses three quarters of the time. The 3DS zen pinball tables also look better and make better use of the 3D depth hinting to improve the experience. So, get any of these, rather than PHoF: The Williams Collection for 3DS.… Full Review »

Would have been great to get more tables, but not bad for a budget title. No online either. The 3D goes a long way to increase the clarity of each table. Without the 3D on, it can be difficult to follow the action on the more complex tables. The 'upside down' mode is a great way to play. The screen is a bit dark and there is some slowdown, but all the tables are classics. Don't go in expecting too much, and you'll have a great experience.… Full Review »
