Unfortunately it's unlikely to garner much of a following, both because the singleplayer experience is so bland and the level designs are repetitive - in fact, almost every element is lackluster. A shame, and a game that's hard to recommend.
  2. It's horrible stuff: a yawning, Nietzschean abyss of a game that makes you believe those people who say that there's no point in video games.

Overall, this game misses the mark by light years. It's fun for a spell, but grows old quickly – making the short burst play style a blessing in disguise. But if you're looking for an RPG that can hold its own in a genre stuffed with stellar titles, unfortunately you'll have to look a lot deeper into space than Planet Crashers.

A fun, light-hearted dungeon crawler that anyone who likes the genre should buy. At a mere $10, there's a lot of game to play here and genre fans will easily get that much out of it.

Overall, Planet Crashers gets very repetitive for those without patience.

Planet Crashers is the perfect example of how not to do an RPG, with awful game design and nothing to enjoy at all.

This should be something I'm playing for free in a browser, but instead, I'm being asked to fork over $10 for it. It's not the sort of experience a developer like Renegade Kid should put out, and it's not the kind of game I'd advise you to waste your time or money on.

Planet Crashers is extremely repetitive and doesn't provide a real challenge in any moment. But there are, indeed, people that may find some fun in this cheap package; I'm talking about those that just want a portable RPG to play for just a few minutes per day.

As a little snack for fans of dungeon crawlers this just might be enough. If you don't expect too much and like to beat up Santa with bananas or carrots, you won't be disappointed.

The missions are pretty repetitve and the battles don't really have a tactical depth. But if you like the style you can look forward to about 9 worlds.

Unless you are really hard up for some RPG nonsense on your 3DS, Planet Crashers is probably one to skip.

Overall, Planet Crashers offers a simplified RPG experience for those not looking for the next Tales of the Abyss. Armed with humour and a cute, quirky art style, Renegade Kid does its best to cover up the flaws of the gameplay and combat system, instead focusing on providing plenty of quests and short bursts of action for the casual, younger market.

Planet Crashers 3D is a quirky game from start to finish that takes place in a world that might remind you of a twisted, combat-heavy Animal Crossing. The RPG gameplay can be a grind, but if you just like completing quests and traversing dungeons, it's an eShop game worth diving into.

  1. This game doesn't have randomly generated mazes in this game, and you won't find this game too much fun. If you tried it, you might think it's fun, but as you continue, it's the same thing, nothing new, simple enemies, and mazes, and then it will get boring. I thought it was a fun game, but I didn't see this happening. It could had been better... I tried other rpg games, and those other rpg games I played seemed more funner than this. When you fight someone, it will ALWAYS be the same music. It NEVER changes. Also, the dungeons are just called in three different colors, one of them are the hardest, and one of them are the easiest. Think before you buy. This game is worth more like 6 dollars instead of wasting my money... Collapse Full Review »
  2. This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Do not be fooled; this game is utter garbage. The dungeon are designed terribly, and later dungeons are just the same as earlier ones albeit with recoloring. The story is pretty dull, and when you slog through the long game, fighting generic enemies and dealing with a bland level-up system, you fight the final boss, which is just a basic enemy. Once you beat it, he says the entire plot was basically never going to actually happen. That's right, you payed $10 to waste 5+ hours of your life. Full Review »
