I don't care if this game was 3d that gimmick annoys me anyway. the battle were fun and was getting into it then I started dying repeatably and the game does not skip cinemas if you. So after watching the same cinema 7 times I decided to send it back to gamefly atlas games never do it for normal humans any way. I never played the first oneon DS but 3ds fare is kinda lean. Devil Survivor is a fantastic RPG that I would recommend to any RPG fan. Devil Survivor:Overclocked is the exact same game with little new content. The voice acting is acceptable, although not as good as other games in the SMT series, the inclusion of an eighth day is nice although unneeded, none of the new demons do anything noteworthy, and the game's new easy mode will is nice, as itDevil Survivor is a fantastic RPG that I would recommend to any RPG fan. I'd like to talk about other new features included in the game, although there really isn't much else included in this game that wasn't in the original game! I'm especially disappointed by this remake because of how well Atlus has been able to handle remakes and ports like the entire Persona series on the PSP.
This is by no means a bad game, although I regret paying $40 for what is essentially a DS game with voiceacting

It's cool game, like SMT games usually are, however title itself isn't in 3D and content added to original version isn't apparently that useful, which takes my grade down as release is kinda disappointing, game content is gr8 tho.

Compared to other SMT games, this has quite a bit of a different play style. Take away the random encounters, demon negotiating, equipment, items and even the good ol' dungeon crawler aspect... And you have Devil Survivor. It's an SRPG that takes away from what SMT is all about, by not only removing core gameplay mechanics, but also making grinding much, much more easy. This game also has extremely broken skills, as you can beat the hell out of nearly everything by using the Kishin and Vile demons as companions. Although if I take my mind off of the SMT series, and think of this as a stand alone game, it's a decent play. It can be quite difficult if you are not paying attention to your skills and are not exploiting enemy weaknesses. The game concentrates on character development and does a good job at evoking emotions to certain characters (The game successfully made me want to strangle Midori). The game has multiple ends which pertain to the three main alignments (Chaotic, Neutral and Lawful). And the plot does a great job of keeping you entertained. Expand

Just like all games in the Shin Megami Tensei series. this game is not for everyone. I personally love the series, but I'm not the biggest fan of this installment. I have never been a big fan of SRPGs, this game included. My problem lies in the fact that this game is as difficult as games like Nocturne, except its very difficult, even just to grind. I find this problem with nearly all SRPGs (spare maybe Fire Emblem: Awakening), and is a reason why I am not a huge fan of the genre. When getting Devil Survivor, just make sure your up to the challenge, and be ready to enjoy a great story with multiple ending. Collapse

Devil Survivor Overclocked is a game that leaves a mark for his campaign, combat system and its mechanics. Being an improved version of the original production for the DS, it is always evident a graphical composition below the current production standard for 3DS.

The narrative conceit of Devil Survivor Overlocked is an interesting one. [Issue#142, p.122]

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is quite a good game, but in the end still somewhat disappointing as a remake.
