Beautiful graphics, that wonderful soundtrack, the enthralling story and that damn annoying fairy, the 3DS version has it all and is easily the best port to ever be made of the legend.
Improvements are everywhere, and if you've already played this gem on the N64, there's enough goodies here to warrant a re-visit. If you're new to the game, there's a whole world of experiences waiting for you. This is the reason to get a 3DS – it doesn't get any better than this.

As someone who has played both versions I think both Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of time 3D are both amazing. However, Ocarina of Time 3D gets rid of the horrid N64 controls and uses button controls for better and easier control in general.
The improved graphics are definitely noticeable, but I found the original graphics charming in their own way. Also the original Ocarina of time has the better Ganon boss fight. Having to use the lightning to see where Ganon is gave the fight a lot more tension.
While there were some things lacking in this game mainly the epic atmosphere of the Ganon fight from the original Ocarina of time. Despite that I have nothing really bad to say about this game. It's fun and can be enjoyed multiple times.

The pacing of the story has a Disney-like quality to it, building moment by moment to the crescendo of its conclusion. It is nothing short of magical.
If you've never played Ocarina of Time before, run out and buy this immediately. If you're intimately familiar with the game, there's nothing too new in this version to pull you in, though if you ever get the urge to play it again, Ocarina of Time 3D lets you experience all your wonderful memories with a brand new modern feel.
Ocarina of Time 3D succeeds largely because it does not tamper with the original title, striking the perfect balance between old and new content.
It sets a new standard for modern remakes of past-generation titles, proving that there's absolutely nothing wrong with a publisher capitalizing on gamers' nostalgia, so long as they can find a developer who loves the source material just as much as -- if not more than -- we do.
Not entirely a bad remake – the great adventure catches everyone but controls are clumsy and 3D effects are far from what we expected. [July 2011]

Este clásico es una genial obra en la que sumergirte, su mundo es precioso, su jugabilidad, mejorada en esta versión, es muy buena, sin embargo, no logro ver la obra maestra que todos parecen adorar. No he sido capaz de encontrar su historia tan interesante, el villano Ganondorf no está presente en la mayoría del juego, lo cual le da un toque misterioso, sin embargo, me gustaría haber conocido algo más de él, sus motivaciones, por ejemplo. Pero, pese a que no me resulte tan atrapante como otros juegos de la saga, y no sea perfecto, sigue siendo un gran juego que recomiendo probar.

The quintessential Zelda game and the best Zelda remake (tied with MM) in my opinion. Although I do think it's overrated, it's certainly still good. Most of the temples are fun and interesting and the side quests are okay, but the game is a little bare because it's an older, less in-depth game compared to what the standard is nowadays
It's charming but feels like it's missing something.

The art style and atmosphere have been butchered in this re-release. Blood removed, moon symbols removed, saturation tripled, shiny anime game effect added. This is not Ocarina of Time, it's missing one of the most key parts of the experience, the mood. Playing this does not mean you have played Oot, you are still missing out heavily.
