Beautiful graphics, that wonderful soundtrack, the enthralling story and that damn annoying fairy, the 3DS version has it all and is easily the best port to ever be made of the legend.

Even though the game is just a remake of a twelve year old title it is still the best game currently on a handheld and the only reason to own a 3DS right now.

Though its roots show through from time to time, the improved visuals remove any barrier of entry that age may have posed. The new elements enhance the core adventure to create the definitive version of this classic game, making Ocarina of Time 3D the best way to embark on (or relive) this landmark adventure.

Not entirely a bad remake – the great adventure catches everyone but controls are clumsy and 3D effects are far from what we expected. [July 2011]

  1. A fantastic remake of the best game EVER with updated graphics that keeps the original art style and gameplay completely intact, and has good 3d effects. nuff said. Expand
  2. Is definitely a load of fun for gamers new to OoT, but veterans will want to hold off. It's pretty much the same exact game, but with better graphics and effects. You may want to try the Master Quest, but it's still the same game, but a tad harder. For new players: Buy right away. Veterans: Don't waste your time. Expand
  3. It's big, open, colourful, and there is plenty to do. Unfortunately, it is also for the most part mind numingly boring. The level design leaves a lot to be desired because you often find yourself wondering around most of the time completing various tasks which may or may not help you to get to the next phase of the game.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for open level design that gives the gamer choices. But in this game everything is a gamble and there appears to be little if any logic behind it.

At times you think it's just wonderful and I can see why many people like it. But then again, Justin Beiber sells a lot of albums.

Worth a look but nowhere near as good as many would have you believe.

  4. it makes me depressed that Nintendo can keep on releasing the same thing over and over.
That this can be the top rated thing, it is not even o
riginal, i have the console version of this for the GameCube. It came 3 times, with master quest. AND THIS IS THE BEST GAME.
i really like ocarina of time, but Nintendo needs to stop leaning on their older games.
