Zombie Slayer Diox tries decently hard to be a good game, but it just misses the mark. The rhythm gameplay gets repetitive, and the music is extremely plain. There's nothing functionally wrong with it, the game just never evolves, remaining stagnant from start to finish.

Rhythm games and zombie slashers both have the potential to be a lot of fun, but their marriage here in Zombie Slayer Diox is one of conflict, and the weaknesses of both genres are far more vividly on display than the strengths.

Considering how slick and glossy the presentation is, there's very little spark to the actual gameplay itself. [Sept 2012, p.109]
