After a few hours with Bang! It becomes painfully clear: This game is all gloss, with little fun beneath the shiny surface. More gameplay variety or multiplayer options would have done wonders to this title.
The sort of videogame that needs to have the epilepsy warning printed in 72-point Helvetica bold. This game is so colorful, fast and disorienting that we came close to passing out a couple of times and poking ourselves on the "Seaman" microphone.
What Bang! has is a maddening challenge that'll frustrate more than amuse those that play it, as well as some of the prettiest graphics I've ever seen in this type of space shooter (much better than "Starlacer" or any of the "CW" PlayStation titles).
