Basic gameplay mechanics combine with real-world charisma to form the most solid Dreamcast flight simulator seen to date.
  2. AllDreamcast
If historical accuracy isn't a big deal for you and you're willing to put up with an occasional boring mission, Iron Aces is worth a look.
  3. 75
If you like your flight sims more action-oriented, suit up and get ready to fly.
  4. Daily Radar
The game simply and consistently provides competency in large doses, and emerges as the Dreamcast's best, most mindlessly fun plane shooter.
  5. Great-looking models of some of the coolest planes ever made. Easy to jump right in and start blasting.
  6. The cookie-cutter missions, and standard presentation hurt the game, but they certainly don't make it unplayable. Solid title.
  7. Great mission structure, easy to learn gameplay and of course tons of classic WWII era planes to blow out of the sky.
  8. A game that's confused about where its heart lies, leaving you with a smattering of mildly entertaining dogfights and bombing runs interwoven with long bouts of boredom.
  9. If the steep learning curve has you hollering "Mayday!" a little too often, you can always switch sides and play as a Japanese pilot—and plan a little do-it-yourself Pearl Harbor.
  10. Much to my disappointment, Iron Aces turns out to be a really great idea dragged way the hell down by far too many bad design decisions.
  11. It isn't the prettiest thing out there, and there are a few rough edges here and there when it comes to bombing and the like, but otherwise, it's a decent simulation that'll have you cheering as you attack Japanese and German bases.
