Be it two, three, or four gamesters pounding away at once, Blitz 2001 has enough action, laughter, and replayability for even the most discerning bastard out there.
  2. Truthfully, there isn't much in the way of competition for Sega's "NFL 2K1" when it comes to Dreamcast football titles. However, NFL Blitz 2001's quirky gameplay, rich features, and drool-inducing visuals make it an excellent alternative.
  3. The music in Blitz 2001 is pretty bad and will end up annoying the hell out of you.

The latest Blitz for the Dreamcast is not a huge improvement over the last one, but there is enough here for true Blitz fans to pick up the sequel.
  5. Da Gameboyz
A faster framerate, new party modes and an improved play selection screen help this title remain heads and tails above the competition.
  6. After months of 2K1, GameDay, and Madden, Blitz is a welcome and very fun addition to the football lineup.
  7. I'm not saying that the 2001 version is a bad game. It's just one that suffers from the same engine that has been tried over and over again for the lifespan of the series.
  8. Daily Radar
More of the same, only more better.
  9. CNET Gamecenter
While it's certainly not a revolutionary offering, NFL Blitz 2001 contains a nice variety of gameplay modes and exhaustive editing features that should keep fans of frenetic arcade football happy.
  10. Although the AI isn't very good, the game still plays fine. Blitz 2k1 is so entertaining it becomes easy to overlook some of the downfalls.
  11. A grim reminder of how lackluster sequels and apathy can kill even a promising franchise.
  12. You can even taunt your opponents more than ever with moves like putting your shoe in his face as if you're going to squash him while he lays ragged on the ground.
  13. The graphics aren't the best the Dreamcast has to offer, the controls can be awkward at times, and the music is repetitive, but this game excels in one major area: it's really fun!
  14. Dreamcast HQ
If you haven't picked up NFL Blitz 2001, and you want a fast paced, no rules, slamfest for you and your buds, then you need to go get this game. Still here??
  15. Sega X
It's more of the same, whether you like it or not.
