The quirky controls and butt-ugly full motion video may force a couple of would-be adventurers to turn to something else. But for those of us who have patience enough to hang in there and dig for the good stuff, there's plenty of it to find.
If you thought the older versions were too tough and frustrating, this won't change your mind. One-hit kills and unrelenting traps will test your mettle (and your ability to refrain from throwing your controller).
With bland graphics, poor gameplay balancing and -- worst of all -- terrible controls, so much of the game is so much of a drag that it falls short of the anemically rising levels that set the 3D action/adventure standard.
