  1. Awe-inspiring to behold, deep, absorbing and epic to the nines, Overworks' sky-faring RPG sets a standard that will most others will never attain. You have been told.
  2. Though its cartoony visual style may be a turn-off to some, Skies of Arcadia is one of the most beautiful and overall well-constructed RPGs in recent memory.
  3. One of those rare games that not only sucks you in, but pins you down and gives you noogies as time passes unmercifully.
  4. 100
Much as "Final Fantasy 7" was the catalyst that launched the PS into the RPG world, Skies of Arcadia does the same for the Dreamcast and is truly a must have RPG for ANY RPG fan regardless of their system of choice.
  5. The characters and the storyline are so superbly written, illustrated and realized that it'll be impossible for any RPG fan to not find something to like in Skies of Arcadia.
  6. 100
It may not have the emotional impact of some of Square's RPG's, but it does have likeable characters, a huge amount of gameplay, an epic quest, and beautifully rendered environments and effects.
  7. By far my favorite RPG of all time thanks to its great story, looks, and battle system. The game has absorbed my days and nights with swashbuckling adventures -- and that's all you can really ask for in the end, isn't it?
  8. This game is true original that blends its own style with classic RPG elements to perfection.
  9. An insanely deep and complex storyline, a clever and unique combat and magic system, tons of additional gameplay modes, fantastic graphics, and appealing characters.
  10. There really is no substitute for a great story that Skies of Arcadia delivers, big time. Oversoft has blended this with great graphics giving DC owners exactly what they have been craving.
  11. 93
Every ounce of this game exudes tremendous production value, and could easily be Sega's finest RPG in years.
  12. Although a notch or two away from being a true masterpiece, Skies of Arcadia is one of the best Dreamcast RPGs to date.
  13. 92
I am very happy; Skies of Arcadia is not just one of the most beautiful Dreamcast games to play, but one of the most addicting RPG I've played in years.
  14. The most enjoyable aspect of Skies of Arcadia is the way the game flows.... In Skies, the story, as well as the ability to freely explore the map, move the game along at a brisk pace.
  15. 90
Nothing but a journey full of wild discoveries, intense battles, and fun gameplay. To date, this is the best Dreamcast RPG that no one should miss.
  16. The most enjoyable RPG experience I've had in years.
  17. The game takes an excellent story, interesting world, and engaging gameplay and wraps it all in some of the best graphics seen on the system to date.
  18. Great scripting, captivating characters, a good battle system, and two long GD-ROMs worth of game give you the bang for the buck.
  19. 80
Graphically the game is excellent, with crisp, clean characters and some very detailed textures.
  20. This game is excellent, although its predictable and simple story combined with average character designs and dialogue prevent if from becoming an instant classic.

Story and game-play are on the elite level, the characters are memorable, the plot is thoroughly thought out. Aside from the great combatStory and game-play are on the elite level, the characters are memorable, the plot is thoroughly thought out. Aside from the great combat system, this game goes even further and gives you an amazing ship to ship battle system, this is perhaps the best and most entertaining side-challenge in an RPG I've ever seen. There is the annoyance of the lack of direction, it sometimes becomes a chore to navigate the many places, but the the game makes up for it with everything else, this is a juggernaut and a must have for RPG fans everywhere.
