Smoother, faster animation (the game runs at 60 frames per second) and awesome lighting effects dominate the game's look, while transparency filters, water effects, and background movements round out the spectacular visuals.
  2. Antagonist
The best straight-action title on the Dreamcast, and by far the most brilliant Episode I related video game ever produced.

JPB has less extremely frustrating platform-hopping than the original, but an important part of the newest incarnation still involves pinpoint leaping that occasionally verges on maddening.
  4. It has its glorious moments and it has its "what the hell were they thinking" moments.
  5. CNET Gamecenter
With controls that improve on the PSX version, tight graphics, more than ten levels, and plenty of lightsaber action, Jedi Power Battles has achieved Jedi Master status.

Despite a boastful collection of Extra characters, modes, and secrets, the biggest element of them all: a great sense of fun, is just a bit on the low side.
  7. Those looking for more complexity in their action games, though, will definitely want to look elsewhere.

It follows the movie very well and not many movie games do.

An awesome game!! Controls take a little time to learn and some jumps frustrate you, but overall an excellent DC and PSX title.

The game has great effects with smooth animation, but can get very fustrating when you're stuck as it is a hard game.

It has its pros and cons, but, none outweigh the others. Its pros are its graphics, the wide variety of characters, and the variables which concern the characters. Its cons consist of terrible mechanics, skill management, and sometimes an incredibley difficult sith warrior to defeat. Maul in this game can be the most cheat happy guy next to your friend who always keeps that invincibilty cheat kickin with a nice online game of Unreal Tourney. This game is like a "Gauntlet Legends" game with Jedi. That's one of this games greatest strengths. For instance, the Jedi and characters from Gauntlet go as follows: Qui-Gon Jinn:Wizard Plo Koon:Warrior Adi Gallia:Archer Obi-Wan Kenobi:Valkyrie Mace Windu is the most MEDIUM of the jedi. His health and force are always evened and he has no particular strength. I suggest this game to those who like "Gauntlet Legends" and the Star Wars Universe! Expand
