Critic score distribution:

  2. Negative: 1 out of 14
  1. The tracks are absolutely boffo. The control's equally dynamite.
  2. It nails down just about everything in the right places, and is definitely worth a look if you are interested in the genre.
  3. To paraphrase one of my favorite lines from the movie Jurassic Park, "There are... um, Disney characters, in this... uh, Disney game, right?"
  4. Wonderful renditions of "It's a Small World"; "Yo Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me"; and "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" await those who play the game.
  5. Any Disney fanatic will no doubt want to add this to their library of games, but the diehard racing fan may want to approach this title with caution.
  6. As I've mentioned before, Disney isn't cool with older gamer's and will turn them away. In fact, I would be embarrassed to buy this game in public.
  7. The one saving grace for MTR is it's easy controls and it's semi-fun gameplay.
  8. Despite there being 13 different racers, all the characters seem to have the same abilities and driving styles.

Ripped directly from the soundtracks in Disney Studios, the score is clear, authentic, and most definitely happening.
  10. You don't have to be a pre-teen or Chip 'n Dale groupie to enjoy "Magical Racing Tour," but it sure does help.
  11. Somebody bring me the head of the person who wrapped the inpenetrable red tape all around the classic Disney characters. I'll make a mummy of him/her with the same tape.
  12. An unforgiving game for adults might be one thing, but serving up an endlessly difficult Disney title is altogether another, and it serves to sink the ship.
  13. If you're willing to overlook the absence of the main characters, have a really open mind about kart games and are under the age of ten, you'll probably enjoy this one.

Its one thing to have poor track design, but its another thing to leave out Mickey and Donald, rip-off of others, and allow the game to suffer from slow-down.
