  • Summary: Despite its frustratingly flawed gameplay, World Series Baseball 2K2 is the Dreamcast's best baseball game.

  2. Negative: 2 out of 17
  1. After last years disappointment, Visual Concepts has brought WSB2K2 back to being a excellent baseball series again.
  2. 87
When you consider the deep pitching and batting mechanics, the improved fielding aspects, the solid control, the awesome visuals, and the online play, WSB2K2 is one of the most solid baseball games on any system and a great sign that the WSB2K series is headed for an almost Yankee-like dominance in the future.
  3. Next Generation Magazine
Undoubtedly the best baseball game in the Dreamcast history. [Nov 2001, p.109]
  4. "But there is no joy in Mudville -- Visual Concepts has struck out."
  5. 60
The retooled pitcher/batter interface has some cool options, yet the defensive controls—this year’s big addition—are infuriatingly hit-and-miss.
  6. Electronic Gaming Monthly
What ruined it is that the pitching and fielding are so much slower than real life. [Oct 2001, p.152]
  7. If the boys of summer took a cue from Babe Ruth and got liquored up before a game, the results would look something like this.

Even though the game's pitching is slow, the gameplay is still solid and it has at least 100 unique batting stances.
