With both off and online modes, combined with the classic Bomberman gameplay, this is one game that can most certainly referred to as da' bomb.

Official Nintendo Magazine UK
A brilliant turnaround for Bomberman adventuring and a great mutliplayer game for your DS. [Mar 2007, p.76]

IGN
The adventure has a lot of fun little challenges in its goofy and quirky design, and the Battle Pack -- Bomberman's reason for being -- is a great version of last year's Bomberman DS with solid local and online support.

Modojo
The gameplay is pure classic Bomberman in Battle Mode, and the mini-games add some variety to the single-player game to make it a more enjoyable romp this time around.

Gaming Target
This is perhaps the best Bomberman game that Hudson has put out since Saturn Bomberman.

Nintendo Gamer
Proper Bomberman action that makes wise use of the Wi-Fi features built into DS. Consider the solo mode as a bonus in a great value package. [JPN Import; Oct 2006, p.63]

If anything can be said against the Battle Mode, it is that by modern standards, it feels a little slight.

The introduction and story Upon hearing the name Bomberman, one would expect the classic hunt-down-trap-and-destroy type multiplayer game. The introduction and story mode game play are far different from what could be expected; the ability to run around in an isometric universe and the visiting of mini game houses. This game has creative way of combining adventure and puzzles. The Classic Bomberman, on average, uses the D-pad and a couple buttons whereas Bomberman Land Touch! in the story mode uses only the stylus. It truly lives of to its storyline, with its fast paced action, tons of variety and hours of fun. The style of game play will grow on you within the first half hour of playing it. The goal is simple: master each of the attractions presented and to use what you gain to unlock the secrets of the island. In addition, when all of that Expand

While not one of the best DS games, it is a good one and worth picking up, much Bomberman-multiplayer related fun to be had, but the friendless can always play against the CPU, or have a crack at the single player game.
