  1. Overall, Call of Duty: World at War is a great DS shooter.
  2. Call of Duty: World at War is a perfect example of the well-done sequel.

World at War is such an impressive showcase on the DS.
  4. 83
World at War is pushing the limits of what DS can do, and the result is a pretty damn good first-person shooter on DS. What's next, n-Space?
  5. Seamless first-person shooting action with a healthy sprinkling of innovative touchscreen side missions - this is one of the best war-mongering affairs on DS.
  6. Call of Duty: World at War is a solid entry to the DS's shooter library. While there are some problems here and there and it obviously won't provide the same cinematic feel as it's high-def console brethren, it still is a pretty solid shooter.
  7. With its awesome sound design, diverse gameplay, great pacing, and usually fluid visuals, Call of Duty: World at War is a great package and easily one of the best first-person shooters ever developed for a handheld system.

With a lengthy single player mode, limited but engaging multiplayer games and attractive visuals given the hardware, World at War is among the system's best shooters and worth your cash. Enlist today.
  9. It's a fun shooter, if all too formulaic.
  10. Call of Duty: World at War is a solid shooter that just happens to be placed in a setting that has grown tiresome over the years. Even so, the technical merits of this game shouldn't be ignored. It's a fast paced, fun game with lots of content and plenty of frantic action.
  11. Though the maps feel a little small and spawn points are poorly placed, it's executed well enough that you'll wonder why more DS shooters aren't this competent. Ultimately, however, the setting and controls still hold back this war without end from being anything but a quick tour of duty.
  12. 42
It attempts to emulate the spirit of its bigger cousin, but it falls short.

Call of Duty: World at War is a great game. Amazing Campaign and great multiplayer make this game great. The variety of weapons and the long campaign along with the minigames make it a great single player game but the ablity to play with others makes this game great. Full Review »

It was an okay shooter. It was more or less fun, had unique cameplay, but It sadly doesn't live up to it's cousins on other consoles. I found it a little annoying to constantly use the touch screen. There should've been an option to use either the buttons or touch screen to look around. Full Review »

This is a super fun game. Way more improved over Call of Duty 4 for DS, here are the positives. + The A.I. is smart, when you want credit to kill a guy, they kill it, and they don't shoot at walls! + Good variety of weapons, and good gun sounds. + A very long campaign that'll keep you busy for atleast a week, with 3 campaigns, the challenges also add some replay value, and mini-games are fun. + Good graphics, good battle chatter, and one more thing the touch screen is much more manageable than Call of Duty 4. Now the very few negatives... - You don't get the flamethrower enough. - You can't cook the grenades. Overall, this is the best shooting game for the ds and probably best game for the ds, if you own Call of Duty 4 for the ds or just own a ds, this is a must BUY!!! Full Review »
